I was going to see it anyway. Carrel and my favorite old tv show. Heck, a sitcom movie treatment with good casting, that is a good enough reason to be excited.

I was going to see it anyway. Carrel and my favorite old tv show. Heck, a sitcom movie treatment with good casting, that is a good enough reason to be excited. Yeah, definitely. It's perfectly casted, and definitely looks to be well-written. Plus, I grew up with Get Smart...hell, I played Get Smart with my friends as a kid, that's how lame I am.

interestingly enough on another site i go to everyone's bemoaning how things were changed from the teaser tralier and it's not seeming that funny, yet here it's the opposite.
now i'm all confused

Dude, I loved GET SMART as a kid....and really, I shouldn't have been surprised that it was Mel Brooks who was a creative father to it. The movie has potential, and yes...I laughed at both the rooftop and pet store gags. Does it mean its actually funny, or I'm being a fool? BTW, can Hollywood quit that trailer cliche of opening seriously then cutting to a punchline? That's staler than 3 year-old cookies.
