So I realized I went to a TON of pretty good wrestling shows this year. This is my list:

January - None

February - None

March - None

April - WWE's Wrestle Mania 23 on the 1st in Detroit; ROH's Good Times, Great Memories on the 28th in Chicago (MCMG vs Briscoes; Colt's last ROH match)

May - Raw in Toroton, Ontario on memorial day, and ECW/Smackdown in London, Ontario the day after

June - An indy show in Detroit on the 23rd

July - None

August - Indy show in Detroit (featured Rhino, Robert Roode, Tyler Black, and Necto Butcher winning the promotions title)

September - ROH Motor City Madness in Detroit on the 14th (I dragged all my non-wrestling fan friends for my 21st birthday!)

October - WWE's No Mercy in Chicago; Smackdown/ECW in Detroit 2 days later (Taker/Kane vs MVP/Hardy)

November - None

December - Indy show here, pretty good show - MCMG vs Tyson Dux and Petey Williams; Johnny Devine vs Champ Robert Roode; Scott D'amore got his ass kicked by 2 Tuff Tony; Disco Inferno vs Rhino vs Conrad Kennedy III, my FAVORITE indy guy

RAW after the Royal Rumble where Cena and HBK won the tag titles and they dropped money from the ceiling.

A Supershow, where they taped ECW, Smackdown! and RAW all in one night, July 2. ECW had Punk vs. Thorn and Dreamer vs. Morrison, Smackdown! announced Kane vs. Edge for the WHC for Great American Bash but, injury prevented that and RAW had the Beat the Clock challenge that Lashley won.

What? I live in Alaska, nothing comes up here save for a WWE Raw house show coming in Febuary. It's been 3 years since the last time I saw wrestling in person.

Tough year fiscally for me so my wrestling was limited to one show.

-UWF event in Jacksonville, NC in early August with Sabu/Corino/Dustin Runnels Monsters Ball main event. It also had D'Lo Brown, Triple X, the Naturals, Styles, Sabin, Scott Steiner and the Human Tornado among others. Good show.

I missed out on some good Charlotte events this year as I go to school only two hours away. Maybe the next Charlotte TV event (never been to a TV event before).

EDIT: Just checked WWE.com for it, there taping Raw in Greensboro tonight!....oh it's tempting.

A couple of indy shows I worked before losing my passion for a nepotistic company based around hosses with no in ring talent. I probably wouldn't have minded as much if they'd have paid there wrestlers.

The Smackdown/ECW Taping with Lashley jumping through the cage and Lashley saying NO!

ROH Chaos at the Cow Palace. This was the only show I cared about attending. On the DVD watch during Danielson's entrance as I peg the ring announcer with a streamer.

June- Indy show featuring Ricky Morton, Abdullah The Butcher, and some local indy guys

August: UWF in Fayetteville Methodist College featuring Sabu/Sonjay Dutt Vs. The Naturals and Styles and Daniels (returning to his home town/ University) against Corino/ CW Anderson.
The show also featured Scott Steiner, Dustin Rhodes, D'lo Brown, Human Tornado, and an awesome match between Low-ki and Sabin.

3/25/07: RAW House Show in Toledo, Ohio (Toledo Sports Arena; notable in the fact that it was Joey Mercury's last match for the WWE, a losing effort with Johnny Nitro against Carlito and Ric Flair)
9/2/07: SmackDown/ECW House Show in Toledo, Ohio (Seagate Convention Center (TSA was in the process of being torn down))

Now, even he'll tell you he's not what he used to be. On that night no one noticed.

Necro Butcher vs. Drake Younger vs. John Throne in a Fans bring the weapons match. I brought a Jar of Tomatos, an old boot and an old Turkey Bone. Of course they weren't used. I'm not a big Hardcore fan, however I was just transfixed by the violence.

I did a blog about this show. I can't cut and paste, but I'll say this If I was at the show and I am going to buy the DVD!

With the exception of one show I had a great Wrestling year.

The only wresting event I went to this year was an event that the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame that's located in Amsterdam, New York held during their induction weekend. And it was a good time. Actually I consider it to be my favorite event that I've ever been to. It was my friend's first event, and he had a good time at it.

It was held at one of the local middle schools in the gym, and the crowd was just big enough that they could get into the matches, but small enough that you didn't feel crowded. The only problem with where it was held was the acoustics. It was hard to tell what they were saying when the people were talking on the mic. They were better off not using a mic.

The 2nd best part of the night was that we got to see it for free, because my mom won the tickets through one of the local radio stations. The best part of the night had to be though was when I was walking down the hall and walked past Rowdy Roddy Piper who was one the inductees. Dibiase was one of the other inductees (who wasn't at the event, but he was at some other of the things that was held that weekend), along with several other.
I also saw Pat Patterson.

The funniest part of the night had to be though during the main event. It was a match which pitted Spike Dudley verse some guy that belonged to the federation that was hosted the show (He was the only heel to have a win during the evening. He was part of the first match of the card which was the match he won). During the match, people started to chant "E-C-W!". I looked down and notice 2 kids who couldn't be more the 4 years also chanting the same thing, which was ironic since the Federation went belly up before they were born. And Spike won the match.

Some of the other wrestlers there on the card was The Missing Link (who won), Doink (another winner), and the Patriot (who won a tag team match, with a guy who I didn't catch his name, so I just called him Joe E. American given who was his tag team partner). They also had a woman's match, a midget match, and the Champ of the promotion had a title match a guy. The Champ was able to retain his title.

Impact Wrestling Alliance-indy show featuring David Young, Gangrel, Ryan Drago, and WSX's Li'l Cholo.

Mrrotton, what's going on with that Hall of Fame's museum? Is it open to the public yet? One part of their website gives tour hours, while another still asks for fundraising for the new building.

BTW, Bret Hart will be an inductee this year. The nomination that has not yet occurred that has surprised me thus far has been Captain Lou Albano.

The way I take it, they're open on the weekends. I haven't gone yet, but I really want to and really should. It's one of those things though, with will a person will travel all around the world seeing thing things and landmarks but doesn't take advantage of things in their own backyards. I'll try to go in the next weeks and come back with a update about it.
