How is it possible to be older than your dad? The very paradoxical nature of the premise is the joke in DBAMtSCWDYJitH. The fact that the main character's father was very young when he was born is developed throughout the movie as his father seems younger and younger.

The fact that the main character's father was very young when he was born is developed throughout the movie as his father seems younger and younger. Indeed, at the start of the film Dad is described as being only a little bit older then the Son, toward the end the Son is tucking Dad in for the night and reading him bedtime stories. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Is it possible to stay in Elementary School for that many years if you keep failing?

Is it possible to stay in Elementary School for that many years if you keep failing? Considering Kearny would be about, at the very least 37 years old or so, I doubt it.

Here's something i don't get (and yes, I did steal this from The Daily Show)
Homer knocked up Marge pretty much out of high school, meaning Homer would have to have been 19 years old. Bart is born 9 months later. The show is now now set 10 years later where Bart is 10 and Homer is in his late 30's. How can this be?

I try not to rationalize anything that goes on in the Simpsons. It is only a cartoon.

the simpsons time line is all screwy, dont try to make sense out of it. In one episode Lenny and Carl are said to gay lovers, and in another they are brothers.

Well, when you simply consider that since the show started in 1989 w/ Bart being 10, then he should be 28 by now.... I mean.... It's a cartoon people.....

I'm just surprised that Kearney and Dolph haven't been given important roles. Even Jimbo and Gil have gotten at least one episode based somewhat on them.

You know what really annoys me?
"In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. I mean, what are we to believe, that this is some sort of a [the three nerds chuckle] magic xylophone or something? Boy, I really hope somebody got fired for that blunder."

That's the only reason i can fully support the alternate time line that they showed recently, with Marge & Homer growing up in the 80s (vs. the 70s).

God I've really fallen off my Simpsons wagon. Actually I was way off. It's Marge and Homer, in college, in the 90s! The episode was called "That 90s Show". en.wikipedia.org/wiki/That_%2790s_Show

You question this stuff, yet do not question the fact Bart should be 26
