Now that I think off it...this is the perfect song for the final season at Shea. Vote people! I know I did.

By the way, I was just kidding about the Tigers. Anyone that takes the first... 2 weeks of the season to seriously is setting themselves up. Going by what we know as of right now, the Nationals are the best team in the MLB.

(barring your team is solid enough to coast easily to 100+ wins and the pennant) The early charge can provide a false sense of security.

The smaller, disagreeing part being? I'm not trying to be an ass, I'd like to know what you think.

Not really a disagreement so much as just I think it never hurts to actually win. I should have said I agree totally, but it's still nicer when you can pull out the wins on top of it all.

Losing obviously isn't the absolute best thing. You can lose the mindset needed to perform at your peak and these boys play a ton of games. The funk can occur anywhere at any time though too so.. You throw the ball, you hit the ball I guess. The one who manages to do both effectively more often than not comes out on top. (unless they've not got that playoff depth) Baseball is the simplest most complicated game ever.

Which is why I love it so much.

Mike Wilbon made a good point, saying that the Boston media probably just made up that chicks name just to get all the lame sports writers to come up with crappy jokes about it...

Tigers get beat again, ouch...weren't they suppost to go 162-0 this year? I think this opening week shows that the Tigers arent invincible like a lot of people have overhyped. Sheffield is already hurt, Granderson's injury and absence are glaring, Cabrera is ouchy, and that bullpen is hurt and subpar. I am also not sold on the SP besides Verlander.

Who else thinks that the Brewers could be one of the most exciting teams this year? They've got loads of great young talent, and now you've got Fielder and Braun together for a whole year. You've also got the continued self-destruction of Eric Gagne to look forward to.

Ben Sheets will be on the DL by then, and that bullpen wont last.
