Bwon Eyed Girl by Van Morrisson...i worked at a bar and apparantly it was either the bar owners favorite or in the contract of EVERY COVER BAND ever to play this song.

Almost all of the singles from the American Idiot record got killed by radio saturation....Which led me to not liking the album as much as I did on first listen.
But it also led to my love of Jimmy Eat World's Futures record, so I can't complain.

"I Wanna Know What Love Is" by Foreigner was ruined when Gene Simmons was nailing that broad and that music played in the background. Now I can never listen to that song and enjoy it ever again.
Damn you, Gene Simmons.

'Under Pressure'. Every time it starts, I get reminded of Vanilla Ice.

For the time that Hulk Hogan used it as an entrance theme in WCW, Voodoo Chile became dead to me ...

Oh that annoying ass Buck Cherry song that says the same two words for three and a half minutes. I didn't like the song very much when it first came out, and the radio station didn't help by playing it 20 times a day. Everyone I knew thought the song was so cool and I just wanted to punch them in the face anytime they started singing it.

'Under Pressure'. Every time it starts, I get reminded of Vanilla Ice. For me it was the opposite...I heard "Ice Ice Baby" before "Under Pressure" then I saw that Propel commercial thinking they were just using the Vanilla Ice song then heard "PRESSURE!" and thought "WTF!?" I think both the songs suck myself. Beatles-Before I got to college, it was awesome. Now, every college kid thinks they set the bar for being a Beatles fan because they saw "Across the Universe" or one of their parents bought the "1" album, plus they like to pretend they know what each song is about when they have no idea at all (ask any college kid what the song "Revolution" means, nobody will get it right). Through the Fire and the Flames-I had just discovered Dragonforce about a year ago, so I am a little late to the party myself. Now with it being on Guitar Hero III, everyone thinks I just like the song because of Guitar Hero III. What I hate most is playing it at a friends house (even though I don't own it yet I have played it alot at Best Buy and my friends) and they act like they're so friggin clever when they ask me to try the song in Expert. Yeah fignuts, I've NEVER seen that before . SMB 1-1 song-...so many lame remixes and remakes of it...even the SSB Brawl versions of the song are crap, and one of them was made by the original writer!

I second Brown Eyed Girl. My old best friend used it to try and steal my girlfriend. It took a while to enjoy Van Morrison again. Also Stairway to Heaven, but thats just because of classic rock radio and their infatuation with it.

"Sweet Child of Mine" was ruined for me by being an "our song". Yeah, this is my answer too. Also System of a Down's "Dreaming." I'll listen to both once in a while, but then the image of my ex banging a dude who looks exactly like me but is 3 inches taller enters my mind.

Sweet Child O'Mine......hey Sheryl Crow, why not take Axl's poem to his ex-wife, change all the "she's and hers" to "he's and him's and his's" and then shit all over it........

I wouldn't give you crap for that at all. I can totally understand that. For me, I can't listen to Coldplay because it reminds me of a friend I will probably never see again.

I used to love, but now hate, Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" due to the Sopranos series finale. Also, "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down makes me depressed because I think of Eddie Guerrero. I liked DSB for a while, then it came back into rotation on the radio, then Family Guy used it, then people who have never heard of Journey all of a sudden act like their the best band ever, then the graduating class of 07 used it at my school, THEN Soprano's used it. I can't stand the song anymore....except during Silas Young's entrance. The White Sox used it on their run to the World Series in 2005. Blame those "Stooges" (AJ Pierzynski, Joe Crede and Jon Garland). I didn't care for their choice. "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC worked so much better.
