I say Jackie Martling
For those who didn't know, Artie Lange resigned from the Howard Stern show.
Jacki would be the best for the quality of the show, he's able to rip Robin and Fred a new a-hole and have great chemistry with Howard.

Paul Reubens. Pee-Wee+Howard would be great. Throw in George Takei, shoot!
Artie's fat ass will be back.

Jim Florientien would be funny. Mostly becuase I cannot spell his name and Robin may finally show her tits.
I have a feeling that Greg Fitzsimmons could take over.

Just as long as Howard doesn't make a contest out of it I think they will find the right guy. I still hate Sal and Richard. Stuttering John and KC contributed much more ti the show than these guys.

If he didn't have his own show, I'd say Adam Carolla. I'd resubscribe in an instant if that happened. He should have replaced Jackie in the first place.

Not sure. I don't regularly listen to Howard, I'm more of an O&A guy, but I would suggest that from experience with listening to shows, if Artie is gone for good, they shouldn't replace him with someone who would be viewed as a carbon copy. That never works.
Someone established like a, say, Gilbert Gottfried type name would work well. Someone with recognition, not someone who'd be seen as a no name chump.

Gilbert isn't "real" enough for the show.
I do think the show needs a single male in that role for it to play well.

Gilbert's had some hilarious moments on the show in the past, though, like his scathing impressions of andrew Dice Clay and prank calls. Look it up sometime, it made me laugh my ass off. The Dice Man is about as fake as gets. The dude has no loyalty and is a one trick pony.

I love Gilbert on the show but, I have a feeling that if he was on more often Howard would needle him about his wife and child. Honestly I think Gilbert doesn't want to think about them when they are not around.
Greg is a good fit but, everytime I hear his voice I think of "Best Damn Week Ever".
Of course, Howard could continue on the trainwreck track and hire Colin Quinn.

I'm just going to say that if I were him, I would of likely fired Artie, given the circumstances, or gotten him into rehab. That guy's basically on the verge of a very nasty collapse, from one thing or another. Radio is one thing, but at a certain point, it's squeezing a few segments out of a dying friend, or getting them help. Sad thing is, Howard's not exactly the guy I'd call a great friend, but I'm not going to get itno that. This is neither the time or place.

Doug Stanhope, a great stand-up comic that would fit in well with the Stern show really well. Has a lot of great stuff to say, great thinker and a lot of road stories, but still doesn't talk too much. Perfect.
No way of that happening though for about a dozen different reasons.

If he didn't have his own show, I'd say Kidd Chris. But since that's not gonna happen, I wouldn't mind Gilbert.

I don't watch/listen to the show, but I nominate Jim Breuer. I've always enjoyed his comedy. Either him, or Norm MacDonald.
