Ok, before I start with this question, I must say that if you are offended by this Question then please ignore it. And if any Mods think it is inappropriate and want to delete it then please feel free, but it is something I have wondered for a while.
I remember you being at ringside at Wrestlemania 6 for the Duggan/Bravo match. After the match you gave Duggan some earthquakes. The second one of which looked particularly painful. (At the beginning of the next match you can see Hacksaw slumped in one of the carts from the ring). I also recall not seeing him around for a while after. I am not making fun if you "botched" the move, but it is something I have being wondering for ages. (Not that taking a vertical splash from a man of your size wouldn't smart a bit anyway). Without wanting to sound like the worlds biggest ass-kisser, I have respect for any wrestler who steps in the ring and of course mistakes happen.
As I have already said, please feel free to ignore the question if you are offended.
Oh and best wishes.

Hey Quake, hope you're well....
I asked this question on the old board but it was closed not long after my post....
The question is, if you could get in the ring with one WWE superstar of today, who would it be?
Many thanks....

Greeting and I hope you are feeling well. I know all your fans are giving you support in so many ways. But this is a questions page is it not? Then here goes. A larger person over the 400 pound mark has started wrestling training and a few of the bumps are extremly hard for one his size to do, like a standing forward flip or handplant flip, and I was wondering if there is some secrete behind it? Or if there is a specialized training program for super heavywieghts? I just cant see Rosey,Vader,or Bam Bam doing such a thing. A cartwheel maybe. Ah well. I was just wondering if my school's program is just another instence of 'WrestleCrap' Thanks.

Hey John, thanks for keeping us updated. You have a lot of fans here. Anywho.. do you keep in touch with anyone with whom you used to work with in the WWF? Or who worked for the WWF/E at any point? If so, who does Quake regard as his friends? Just curious. Thanks again for allowing your fans to get to know you.

Quake, someone recently purchased a few jackets from Jimmy Hart and they're selling a Rhythm and Blues one. Did you ever buy the Earthquake or Natural Disaster jackets from Jimmy or did he give you any of them?
Also we've seen one or two large private collections of Hulk Hogan merchandise in the hands of regular fans. Have you ever met a fan who collected quite a bit of John Tenta and/or Earthquake merchandise?

Quake, I will never forget your dropkick against Bastion Booger on WWF Superstars. Do you remember doing it? Did you do dropkicks often?

What do you think about the possible Sumo match between The Big Show and Akebono at WMXXI?

No, Duggan was not hurt physically. The only thing hurt may have been his feelings. The star I'd like to wrestle today would be HHH or Undertaker. I can't speak for Rosey, but Vader and Bam Bam are/were very athletic. I'm sure Bam Bam could do a front flip, and Vader(and myself) could easily do a handplant flip. I'm not advising any 400 pounder to do it if he cannot support himself on his arms with locked elbows for a couple seconds. There is no secret, you just have to be strong enough, and athletic enough. Remember, you are not trying to do a handstand, your goal is to go all the way over so put some oomph into it. Get some good momentum to go over with. This will protect your neck as well if you unlock your elbows too soon- the momentum should carry you to your back. Don't attempt it half-butted or you'll be scared and look like a pansy, and possibly get hurt.Get agressive, lock those elbows, get a BIG push (remember-speed will = safety as well as a good looking snap bump) , as you feel yourself going over, snap your chin to your chest. (That lesson will be $20 please!) My only real friend that I keep in contact with is Typhoon. Please don't ask me about what he's doing now or his personal life because I will not answer those questions. I respect his privacy. Jimmy promised me an Earthquake jacket, but never gave me one. I'm sorry, I'm not able to give interviews at this time. I did most of my drop-kicking in Japan, but pulled it out a few times in the US. I used to be pretty proud of it, but realized in my last few years I wasn't getting up quite as high as I used to so pulled it out of action before it became the old wrestler's joke of "nice dropkick- you really took his knees out from under him!) The Sumo match would be great in Japan. That's all I'll say.

Maybe they'll show your old Sumo match with Yokozuna (RIP) on Smackdown to hype the Big Show-Akebono match.

hey John, any chance of seeing ya as in an inductee into the HOF this, or in the coming years? when was the last time you spoke w/ vince at all? and in what regard?
im sure these matters arent much of a concern of yours right now, considering everything thats going down with the health issues, but us tenta fans really wanna see the Quakster again- and that "Gimmick Battle Royal" a few years ago was a total tease.

First off I want to say I hope you are feeling better Mr. Tenta. You were always my favourite heel as a kid, but of course as most kids did I cheered for Hogan and everyone you wrestled back then. But I recently watched SummerSlam 90 over again and you did one of the greatest taunts and funniest things I have ever seen when you mocked the Hogan ear taunt as you went for the one foot pin. Anyway my question is although I am sure you know you are in the game King of Colesseum II for the Playstation 2 from japan, I was wondering if you had gotten a chance to see how you looked in it(I think they did an amazing job)? If not here is a link to a pic: www.gamespot.com/ps2/action/kingofcolosseumii/screens.html?page=45Hope you enjoy and get better soon Chris Edwards

Hey John, first off, it's been a while since I read your updates. How has your progress been with your battle? Second, I live in NY. If I wanted to be a wrestler. How and where would you suggest I go for training with basically no money. I'm in great shape. I run all the time in the cold and my lungs are in great shape(I just had a physical) and I hit the weights a lot. I'm 5'8 200lbs. with a 320 bench press and I can run a mile in 6 1/2 minutes. I'm definitely ready to see what I can take from the trainers. I know the training I do will pale in comparison to what I'm doing now, but I also keep my body in shape. If you can help me on this one, I would appreciate it. Thanks John and thanks for the entertaining Quake years. I still think you should have gotten 1 title run when you feuded with Hogan. But, I guess that wasn't the direction of the writing at the time but, that's just another fans opinion

Man, I hope everything is going okay Quake, I really wish I could've met you; but of course not many wrestlers except for maybe nikolai volkoff, come to my area, which of course, is Maryland.
And i'll understand if you don't want to answer; but what do you think of WWE now?
Have you ever wrestled around here? Maryland,West Virginia, etc.?
I've also just watched your summerslam match agaisnt hogan; were Dino Bravo and Jimmy hart was in your corner, and Bossman was in Hogans corner; at the end of the match there were red imprints on your upper right back; was that real?

Just use any chicken recipe and substitute the chicken with snake. MMM! MMM! GOOD! Sorry, but wrestling is a business and I don't know of any free schools. I might suggest going to a local promotion, and see if you can work anything out, perhaps by putting personal skills, or services in trade. yes I wrestled in Maryland and Virginia. And yes, the marks were real. 'Quake
