Hi John.
Being a 24 year old chap I have (like most) tons and tons of CD's but still come across the same old problem of having nothing to listen to.
My fav bands are Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, King Crimson, Camel, Muse, Queens Of The Stone Age, Tears For Fears, Nick Drake and James Taylor as well as many others.
I was wondering what you musical interests are and was wondering if you could suggest any of your favourite albums for me to purchase so I can revamp my CD collection. I'm open to new tastes.
You can also do the same with movies as my DVD collection is also a bit thin. My top 5 films ever are
5) Save The Green Planet 4) American Splendor 3) Happiness 2) Man On The Moon 1) The Wickerman
And that goes for the rest of the Wrestlecrappers. Any good album or film suggestions, post them here.
Cheers John. Keep Well

Judging by the words, "chap, and cheers" you are on of my UK fans. I'm afraid I can't help you too much with modern music. Truthfully I don't recognize a lot of the bands or movies mentioned. I'm an "Old guy" that is stuck in the '80's with bands like Van Halen, Pink Flloyd, Ac/Dc, Def Leppard, Some Rolling Stones, Queen, Bob Seger, The Clash, Guns n roses, and milli vanilli! The only movie I recognize on your list is man on the moon. I'm sure some 'crapper with younger tastes, and knowledge will help you out. Incidentally, Robbie Brookside has thousands of cds of bands I've never heard of. Try getting hold of him over in the UK. When him and "The Wall" met in Japan they became great friends because they had the same musical interests. 'Quake

Bill Murray has always been a great Actor . . . "back off man, I'm a scientist" ;D Great Ghostbusters quote. But seriously...the scene where the Stooges "Search and Destroy" plays is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time.

Where can I start, I'm gonna write down "newer" albums. I see you like rock music so the first CD I suggest is the new album by Europe called Start From The Dark, excellent rock album. Also any HIM album is plain awesome, their lyrics are kinda dark though (gothic style.) The latest album by My Chemical Romance called Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge, kinda aggressive. Loudermilk - The Red Record is really good too (alternative rock.) Darren Hayes - The Tension And The Spark, EXCELLENT electronic pop album. Richard Marx - My Own Best Enemy, very good rock/pop album. Bic Runga - Beautiful Collision, excellent female voice (mellow music.) and to end this post, if you're into background music and relaxing stuff, anything by Mehdi he's a genius.

;D Ha Ha! Milli Vanilli - I had their tape when I was younger. What's even funnier, Quake, I work with a guy who is a fanatic about 80's and 90's music, and no kidding, just yesterday he was proudly strutting around the workplace with his latest eBay collectors item.
An autographed Milli Vanilli record album.
Man that album takes me back...

I'm waiting for Life Aquatic to get to video. Wife wasn't so interested in seeing it in the theatre.I like bill Murray. I just didn't enjoy Sideways. It had a few funny moments, and lines, but comedy of the year? In my opinion what a sad year in comedy it must have been, sorry. I wasn't rolling on the floor. 'Quake

Quake,
Did you like Bill Murray in 'Kingpin'? In my opinion, that was some of his finest work right there! He played the ultimate ass in that movie, and was very entertaining.

OK...guess tis my turn for some suggestions...and keep in mind, this isn't from a U.K. fan...this is coming from a guy right in the middle of Iowa basically.
Some of my favorite movies if ya wanna check them out, Quake...
The Kevin Smith flicks (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike back, Jersey Girl...as well as the Clerks cartoon and something I bought for grins and giggles "An Evening With Kevin Smith").
"The Adventures of Ford Fairlane" Andrew Dice Clay's first starring role as a rock and roll detective. Nice and star studded too. Vince Neil (ya like the 80's stuff, Quake), Robert England, Pricella Presley, Wayne Newton, Morris Day (jungle love...oh wee oh wee oh), and Vince Neil...who doesn't last very long in the movie.
P.C.U. Very underrated but damn it's nice that it has a cult following...nice way to make fun of political correctness and how it grabbed the college scene way back in the 90's.

I think Randy Quaid's problem is that he doesn't seem real choosy about the roles he takes. For every Kingpin, there's something like that god awful Vacation 2 all about Cousin Eddie. He REALLY milked that well dry.
