Hey Quake.. Have you ever wrestled Vader? If you did, was he really stiff with you like everyonbe else, or did he know better than to beat on someone his size?

I wrestled as his partner a couple times in Japan. Never against him. I'm sure it would have had a good chance to become a "shoot" as I took pride in not hurting anyone, and he didn't give a crap. I was riding with him once and he got out of the car and smacked a "civilian". I don't respect bullies. 'Quake

Why did he do that?
"Yo Quake, could you stop the car here for a sec." "Ehm, ok" Vader walks over to somebody. SMACK! Gets back in the car.

That's pretty close to what happened. We arrived at the arena, and a guy was directing parking. Vader asked a question the guy didn't know the answer to... and smack! 'Quake

I love it Mr Tenta when you give us little inside the business tidbits like that. You must have really not have respected him, because for the most part you respect wrestlers of the past/present and won't give out any really juicy personal stuff on them and I don't blame you. Respect from your former colleagues is I am sure as important to you as it would be to most folks in any line of work. Plus its the right thing to do. However, in Vader's case, screw him. If that is the type of things he did then he deserves to be outed here. If you don't mind me asking, I heard on another website that Shamrock once beat him up in a bathroom of an arena and literally shoved his head in the toilet. Also, Paul Orndoff had to put Vader in place also. Do you know if any of these urban tales are true or exaggerated? I could see Shamrock getting his number, but pulling a man that size to a toilet and shoving his head in against his will seems a little far fetched. If you don't want to comment on this I understand.

I haven't heard of the Shamrock incident. It does sound a little exagerated in regard to the toilet thing, but the Orndoff thing is true. Rumor is Paul hit him with his bad arm on top of it all! Meng (Haku) had to pull Paul off Vader. I know there are a lot of Vader fans here, but I'm sorry, I don't like the guy. 'Quake

Hey 'Quake, not sure if you've ever seen Wrestling with Shadows, but I found it rather odd that Bret Hart, who prides himself on never injuring an opponent and is very vocal of not liking those who do injure opponents (for example, Goldberg), actually compared Vader to being a Teddy bear, and sad that Vader easily got his feelings hurt whenever people teased him about hurting opponents.
Given some of your comments, and some of Mick Foley's and other wrestlers, I tend to believe you more than Hart when it comes to Vader. I have a lot of respect for Hart, but his comments on Vader struck me as quite odd.

I just finished watching In Your House: Final Four with that 4 way dance between, Austin, Taker, Bret and Vader and WOW, did Vader get sliced open or what?!!! And it was a complete accident, he didn't even blade! Brutal.... By the way, Vader sounds a head-case.

Insecure people tend to bully others. So Vader could be the kinda guy that easily gets his feelings hurt. So to make sure nobody hurts his feelings he beats the wrestlecrap out of them.

Haven't you guys ever seen that episode of "Boy Meets World"? The reason Vader feels so insecure is that he's having problems connecting with his son. It's really pretty obvious if you think about it. He just wants his son's love, that's all. That's why he's gotta slap everybody. For love.

I don't know if he hurt the "stars" or not, but he killed the "jobbers". The "jobbers "were just guys that loved wrestling, trying to make a few extra bucks, and go back to their real jobs the next day. To disrespect them is unacceptable. 'Quake

Yes attacking the parking attendant was wrong but with all due respect Earthquake, when these wrestlers or jobbers get into the ring, you will get hurt by accident or not. Either by chair shoots, being slapped, doing barb wire or cage matches. I read a interview, i think it was Mick Foley b.k.a. Cactus Jack first big matches were with Bruiser Broody and a couple of other wrestlers that rough him up but Foley never complain even though his body is really messed up and Foley never complain about Vader giving him real hits and Foley took it up a notch with that cage match with The Undertaker, need we say more. Now these days Vader would've fit in with the body going through tables, real chair shoots and anything goes wrestling, no wonder they don't use jobbers anymore. Hell that's like me getting in the ring with Mike Tyson(in his prime or at the bottom of his career) as a his next opponent or sparing partner, I'm not going to expect love taps. As for Orndorff, funny he had to fight dirty hitting on a broken arm instead of straight knuckling up. You may say that Vader is a big hero of mine, you're right, he brought real wrestling in the ring but people crying about Vader but nobody wasn't complaining when Bruiser Broody,Abdullah The Butcher &

Pt. 2 Stan Hansen really hurting people and Vader didn't bitch about Hansen taking his eye out of his socket. Hell when The Rock apologize to Cactus Jack for giving three chair shoots on the head but Cactus didn't complain & told The Rock it was cool. Again Earthquake with all due respect but I think Broady,Hansen,Abdullah, Arn & Ole,Vader & Foley made wrestling real & exciting & without them it would've been boring. Also when Vader gave some shoots to Gorilla Monsoon & Ric Flair, Monsoon & Flair didn't complain either. Now these days Jim Ross get in the ring against Triple H and get whipped and I thought that was unfair,I feel sorry for J.R. than the jobbers Vader beat up years ago. Yeah some WCW wrestler may have cheered when they got rid of Vader but Foley & a Steve Austin(before he was known as Stone Cold) was also dismissed. Years later they're out of business because they put it all on Hogan. WCW did the worst thing ever getting rid of Vader. Can say the same thing WWF too especially how Vince screw Bret Hart over Shawn Michaels. When WCW went out of business, it leaved Orndorff out of a job, which I also heard he was upset that he had to take a lower job, who did Paul think he was, Dusty, Harley or Flair? Sorry Quake like I said you're one of my favorite wrestler but I had to defend to me the greatest wrestler that stepped in the squared circle.

No offense blachubear, but I recall that jobber that got his back broken by a vader powerbomb. It appeared the guy did everything correct to help Vader perform the move. Vader just decided that since the guy wasn't of any real significent value to the company, he could look really good powerbombing him as hard as possible. What an asshole. Now, if Vader had powerbombed Hogan like that on the concrete when Hogan no sold it, I could atleast say Vader treated everyone the same. He is an asshole for treating lower talent like dirt. The injuries you described from Foley and others were pre-planned. Yeah Foley was a little ticked about the extra chair shot, but atleast he didn't have to spend the next 6 months in a wheelchair like that jobber that was powerbombed by Vader. Basically what I am saying is if you are a fan of Vader, than you must be in the Bob Holly fan club as well? As far as Orndoff being out of a job, the last time I saw him he was being drafted into the WWE hall of fame. Meanwhile the last thing I heard about Vader was that he was trying to shoot on some police officers and ended up in the back of a police car crying and saying he was sorry. Notice a difference?
