I'm looking forward to Batman, and Land of the dead as well. I also plan on checking out War of the worlds, not because of the BS Cruise publicity stunts, but because it looks good to me. 'Quake

I just saw a commercial for War of the Worlds and it does look pretty interesting. Any alien invasion movie is worth seeing in my opinion. Another new movie I want to see is High Tension. It's supposed to be more of a thriller than a horror movie though, but supposably has some pretty brutal killings.
Oh yeah, I remember you saying that you were a fan of Ultimate Fighter, and you'll be happy to know they're doing a second one. I personally didn't watch the first one, but I did see the Shamrock fight on the finale, and now I'm interested.

I've just been watching Royal Rumble 1991 . . . . you know that one where you nearly beat hulkamania . . But I was just wondering what you thoughts were on the Sgt. Slaughter angle at the time? Oh and everytime during that rumble I enjoy the moment you decide to stand on Mr. Perfect . . . a great heelish thing to do . . .

Have you seen Revenge of the Sith yet? The first half was pretty lame, but the Palpatine/Yoda and Anakin/Obi Wan fights salvaged it in the end.

I'll keep an eye out for the UFC shows. I wasn't thrilled about having Hogan taken away from me, but it was out of my hands, and Vince does what he feels is right for the business. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Wars are are delicate situation, in that you have lives at stake, and people easily criticize people making money off war, but what about Haliburton? People have a choice to make Vince fail, simply by not watching, or going to shows, but others are literally handed millions of dollars of overpayment. Vince is a risk-taker and earns his money whether people like him or not. I haven't seen Revenge but my kids have. They liked it but now since they've seen it I probably won't. 'Quake

Couple quick questions that popped into mind
I've heard several other wrestlers' stories about fans that got out of control and charged the ring or attacked them or did something else dastardly to them...did any such idiot ever dare mess with the Earthquake?
Did WCW ever attempt to recruit you before you eventually did go?
Did ECW ever contact you?

Quake,
First off I think it's great to have you interact with the masses. One quick question for you.
What was the overall backstage reaction to L.O.D.'s dummy Rocko? And was it true that Bob Backlund was considered to be brought in as that role at first?
Thanks!

Man, I kinda wished you squashed Rocko like you did Damien, Quake. Paul Ellering lost all his coolness when he play second fiddle to a dummy.

First of all,I appreciate all your work Mr.Tenta.I have Summerslam 92,and I liked your match with the Beverly Brothers. You were very quick for your size, and you could actually wrestle and make a match good, something arguable among current big guys.I truly want to thank you for all you have done for your fans, you entertain us when we have problems, making us forgot in how much deep sh*** we are in,but seeing you wrestle along with other names makes us forget all about it.Thanks you.
Now,on to the questions, and I apologize if you were previously asked this in the thread, but I dont have the time to snoop through all the pages.
Do you currently watch the WWE? If so,do you think it could be entering another golden age? Wich moves that were done unto you hurt like a b****,if any?

Hey Quake, always been a fan of yours. You rank right up with Gillberg as one of my favorites. Just wondering if you would be able to make me some Quake Burgers. Seriously now, who do you think besides yourself should have been World Champion. My picks are the late greats Owen Hart and Mr. Perfect. Thanks for your time. Hope you're doing well. Prayin for you buddy.

Quake: Found something a few weeks back, and was wanting to see if I could get it autographed. It's one of the 1990 WWF Classic-brand cards with the "autograph" line on the back (which I never understood the concept of). I'd like to have it autographed to put up for my daughter. I'm hoping to raise her as a fan of wrestling, and I would be thrilled if I could one day hand it to her while watching one of the shows you were on in the 90's. I know it might sound odd that I'm getting an autograph for a little girl that's not quite three years old, but I think someday she'd be able to really appreciate it. If you would be willing to do that, you could e-mail me where to send it to. I'd send the SASE with it and everything (I'm a nice guy like that. ) BTW, hope everything has been going well these last few months. I just got in the forums recently, and have a LOT of threads to catch up on, so I've missed any updates that might be around here.

Dear John,
I just wanted to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I have been a long time wrestling fan, and have followed your career for quite some time.
I am sorry this E-mail is a bit late. I just found out about your sickness less than ten minutes ago. God I hope I’m not too late. My Prayers and thoughts are with you quake.
Thank you for giving what you have to the fans. I can recall many of matches with you and Typhoon (The Natural Disasters) That kept me and legions of fans entertained.
My favorite moment of your is when you crushed Damien, that was fantastic.
Please if you are still with us. Take care of yourself. Please know that all of your work both inside and outside the ring don't go unappreciated.
I just saw that you are responding to peoples posts, How are you feeling? I hope all is well
I hope you respond to my post.
Okay just one more question. I am 5'11 and about 238 LBS. My dream is to become a professional wrestler, however I am almost 30 years old, is it too late?
Thanks John
Your Friend and Fan,

Earthqauke, I just found this website and can't believe I'm talking to one of my heroes. I have to agree with you how wrestling federations stab legedary wrestlers like you,Typhoon, Big Van Vader, King Kong Bundy & Bastion Booger. When you're going to released all your matches from WWF/WCW on DVD? Right now I think wrestling sucks without big guys like you wreckling havoc in these wrestling federations, Sure there's "The Big Show" but WWE are using him like he's weak. Anyway Quake thanks for all the memories.

'Quake,
I've lived a somewhat sheltered life, and I've never left the U.S. Next month on the 2nd I will be going out of the country for the first time.
I find myself somewhat nervous at the thought of getting on a plane. Did you or any other wrestlers ever have any anxiety towards planes?
I'm also fairly tall... are the seats in coach cramped?

Hey Quake,
Were you ever involved as a booker anywhere? If so, would you consider it?
Not the *greatest* question, but just thought it'd be cool to speak with someone whose wrestling figure I owned as a kid (don't think I ever had Typhoon though). Get well soon!

Hey John...I just bought your figure for $15 and I was wondering if I sent it to you if you would sign it? I would love to have a signed classic figure, but I got Snuka and Hacksaw's figures after I met them so I am out of luck there...
