Just got this game as a birthday present today. Code is 4682-9326-4487 I'll be adding you guys right now. I'm racing under Andrew...oh and Powerline, your code is coming up as incorrect. Fixed it. It was 4081, not 4031. Its also fixed in the sig. And until my Powerline mii is done, its Eddie.

I must admit that Mario Kart Wii's online is the BEST online on the Wii so far. Yes, I still love Brawl's online whenever I can get lucky enough to connect to an opponent, but Mario Kart bar none has the best online, and after the initial load time at the start of the race, there is no hiccups for the rest of the race.

Okay, so in my time with Mario Kart, I've found that there's 3 types of players:
-Normies, who pick whatever stage strikes their fancy. -Advanced players, who either go for random stages, or pick Rainbow Road every time. -People who suck. These players typically choose Luigi Circuit, Moo Moo Meadows, or if they're girls, Coconut Mall. Even though it's not a real mall, and there's no shopping involved whatsoever, girls seem inclined to pick Coconut Mall. A lot.
Oh, and I'll be sure to add everybody whose added their codes since the last time I saw this thread pop up.

I'm bowing out of the Mario Kart Wii scene. I just sold my copy on eBay. I really hated this game.

I like the game for the most part, although there's definitely some issues. For example, I was playing on the N64 Bowser's Castle online, and I got hit with 5 spiny shells throughout the race, without exaggeration. I'm all for evening out the playing field a little, but there are definitely times where it goes way too far, even online.

I got pissed that I could have a very comfortable lead but then get hit with a blue shell and then get nothing but banana peels. I also hated losing my weapon anytime I got hit. I loved all of the courses and characters (including my precious Tim Allen Mii), but I just couldn't get into it. I'll admit the game was fun at first, but then it got really aggravating to me. The steering wheel was crap, but I always used the classic controller anyway. I think for future releases, I think Nintendo should cut it back down to 8 racers and focus on the computer AI. And where did the Ghost go?

And where did the Ghost go? You mean like the ghosts from time trials? Those are still around, and I think they get saved automatically when you set a record on a course. I know there's a mode on the Mario Kart Channel where your can just keep racing people's ghosts in succession, and I think you can even send ghosts of yours to friends and have them race against them, although I haven't done it yet.

I got it a few weeks ago.
It's really fun. I honestly have no complaints about it.
But it does suck that when you're in first place you get nothing but banana peels with the occasional green turtle shell throw in.

Mario KArt has been one of my favorite series since the SNES version.
This game I don't even want to play. There is so much wrong with it.

Don't have a WII and my friend who did jus moved out of town, but the little I got to play of this game was a blast! Now I always thought the other Mario Karts were good, but I was floored with how much I liked this one. One small question, what is required to go online with this system?
...gotta start saving those nickels and dimes.

It has built in Wifi, so if you have a wireless router, you are set, if not you need a wireless router, also, broadband connection.

The new tournament is now up. Ya basically take on those top thingies from SMG by running into them with nitro boosts. If you've played Mario Kart DS this will seem familiar, as it's a carbon copy of the boss missons where you have to knock them out of the arena. There are item boxes circling the middle, each one has 3 boosts in it. You have to knock out 4 of them, the first two are one at a time, the last 2 are together. And the arena is just a plain circle, nothing special to it.
Plus they also are smart enough not to roll off on their own momentum, so doing a bullfighting strategy (pulling away at the last second) wont work.
And the bar is set at 21.604 seconds (my time anyway).
And one last thing...acceleration is huge in this one. Pick a vehicle with bad acceleration and you're glued to the bottom of the leaderboard.
