If Quake would have taken the title back then it would have been HUGE! Since he was as big a heel as Dibiase back then (IMO) it would have been a big deal. In my markiness of my youth I would have booed like hell but in retrospect it would have been really cool to have a super heel champion other than Iraqi sympathizer Sgt. Slaughter with his pointy shoes and lavender belt.

Who knows what could have happened if I hadn't left for crappy WCW. (Crappy for me, anyways) 'Quake Hey, I can't blame you. ATM Eric was in full force with Hogan calling the shots.

I think he would made a great WWE Champion. I know that he would made a lot of Hulkamanic sad.
That would been interesting to see what would happened in he didn't go to WCW. Yes it was crappy in a lot of places. Which a lot of that crap killed it.

Yes, it must have been crappy... didn't quake and Hogan open an episode of the wcw world wide from the disney studioes one time?
man that must have been a buzzkill, the crowd being told who to chher and who to jeer, sorta like prison or something.

I'll be pretty neutral on this since I haven't seen too much stuff from Quake...

Wasn't this pre-winner gets a title shot at WrestleMania, though? That started in '92. Sorry to meander off-topic here, but it actually started in 199 3: Ric Flair won the title IN the Royal Rumble of 1992. Technically, Hogan won the Rumble in 1991 and then got the WWF Title Shot: I don't think the rule of the Rumble title shot applies. ALL title changes were amazing in the 1980s-1990s. Quake as champion would have been fun, certainly. Just book it the same way as the Slaughter title transition (with Savage's interference), but put Quake in Slaughter's place.

Yes, but sadly since the WWF didn't do much with Quake after the feud, it's kind of hard to imagine him as champ. My fantasy situation: - Quake flattens Hulk at Summerslam. - Hulk retires. - Quake begins stalking the Ultimate Fruitcake. - Quake flattens the Ultimate Queer Basher. - The Nutcase wins the Royal Rumble, allowing him to go after Quake at Wrestlemania. - If ticket sales fall, bring back Hogan in a retirement match. The Warrior is attacked and squashed on Saturday Night's Main Event. - Hogan & Quake battle in a retirement match. - Quake flattens Hogan. - Quake brings back the stretcher that Hogan is on, and flattens him one more time. - Hogan actually retires, and Quake gets the recognition he deserves. Or if someone has something better. Post it. I like you senario, except for the fact Hogan might have decided to become a full fledged action movie machine, and inflict countless horrors upon us . If that was the case then I'm sure we wouldn't be as big of fans of 'Quake as we are now. So Thanks 'Quake for not taking the Tittle from Hogan, and causing us mental and emotionals scars for the rest of our existance. ;D

I definitely think Quake should've beaten Hogan for the title (And I'm the world's largest Hulkamaniac saying this, with all due...uh...respect...to Evad Sullivan) and then done the angle I had my WWF action figures do....Hogan recruits Earthquake's help against the evil Sgt Slaughter camp, turning him face for the good of the USA
Of course, nevermind the fact Quake's canadian, something I either didn't know back then, or didn't care. But then again, WWE never gets little stuff like that get in the way, why should I?!
