Hi Quake, You may have seen it by now, but the Warrior posted a very long-winded rant/opinion on the WWE DVD about him. Warrior had some very harsh words for many people, and some terribly hateful words for others. Here is the link to the thread going on about it, and it has the actual rant listed within: officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=WWE&action=display&thread=1127897451What are your thoughts on Warrior's response? I lost a lot of respect for him after reading this. Sure he is entitled to be upset, and yes I would expect him to be less than thrilled with the "self destruction" DVD. But he said some things that really crossed the line. He shot on Bobby Heenan, insinuating that Heenan got cancer because of karma, and that Heenan is going to die from it soon and therefore doesn't have a chance to redeem his life's actions. That's a terrible thing to say. Warrior is certainly entitled to not liking Heenan, but that's WAY over the line. Your thoughts? Since you have worked with him, your opinions hold a great deal of water to all of us!

Well I was first surprised that the dvd was anti-Warrior. There obviously was a lot going on behind the scenes that no one except Vince and Warrior knew about. Obviously huge heat. I can't take sides as obviously there is too much that I know nothing about. Warrior is right to defend himself against those taking shots at him, but I did read the article and feel he really did cross the line speaking of Heenan, and Droz the way he did. In an arguement let's stick to the subject. Arguing with me, then saying I'm fat, and have cancer has nothing to do with the discussion. If he really believes in Karma, I think he may be bringing some back his way. 'Quake

but in all seriousness it's a shame for anyone who used to be an Ultimate Warrior fan. I don't know how anyone now can look back with fondness and remember a guy who has no problem poking fun at peoples disabilities and serious health problems.
This DVD wouldn't have soured people's memory of Warrior but his comments will.

You know what? I kind of feel guilty. Warrior feels the way he does because at one point in time, he had a legion of fans who made him feel validated in his warped reality. I know I was one of them. I can still watch some of the old stuff and remember fondly how I felt the first time I saw them. While it's not our fault that he doesn't realize that most of the hits he gets are people wanting to laugh at him, we sent an apparently unstable mind down a very slippery slope and now laugh as he tumbles.
Doesn't mean that I can stand what he says or does, just taking my share of the blame.

Warrior said some VERY idiotic things there, specifically calling Droz and Grisham "the queer and the cripple", and his aforementioned comments on Heenan. However, the guy's just lost it over the years, so it's to be expected.

yes, up until now i had sympathy for the warrior but that was way out of line, although i think he had a point about some of the other things he said.

I doubt that Warrior would have the guts to say what he said face to face... on the internet it is easy to bash people like that.

I agree the Warrior did cross the line. That Droz shot was wrong because he doesn't even know the guys. Droz came in the WWE years after the Warrior was gone. They never met. Droz spoke on it this week Byte this. He said that he doesn't know him so he doesn't get why he took a shot at him.
Heenan was wrong also. The Warrior has no reason to bring up his cancer evn though hes over it but that was wrong also. I understand the Warrior is defending himself. But he cross the line.

"Oooooh you're in for it now Quake They'll be a fourteen page rant rebuttle on www.ulimatewa - ugh plug for his website, scratch that." lol now that would be funny: "it apears that the wrestler formerly known as earthquake didnt fully apreciate the way i defended my self against these heinous, jealous attackers! well he would say that yknow because he..(goes into a delusional, totally made up history of all the things that earthquake did, followed by a diatribe about quantum physics, and then concludes with his ideas for social reform)...and THAT is why all homeless people should be harnessed for their organs! well, enough fun for now, always believe warriors!" lol

I dont agree with what Warrior said about Droz and Hennan and everybody else he singled out ( except for Vince and Grisham). I have to side with Warrior on this one just like HTM said he kicked the WWE in the nuts with that rant.

He didn't kick them in the nuts.
Raving lunatic attacks WWE in print. Nobody cares, hardly anybody reads and nothing happened.
Warrior just made himself look like an ass. It's the same if I called Warrior aka Jim Helwig a drug smuggling, wife beating S.O.B - nobody cares and it doesn't kick anyone in the nuts.
HTM likes to have little digs at WWE too. If it wasn't for Vince McMahon neither one of those guys would have had any of the fame they enjoyed. Just bitter because it's no longer 1988 and nobody is at all interested in either guy anymore.
