Great pic. Thanks for finding it. I am a huge Andre mark. Was Andre in that movie? I never saw it.

I'm not sure why, but when I was clicking on the link I was expecting to see a picture of Andre, Wilt, and Arnold from Different Strokes. I'm actually a little disappointed now.

It's from Conan the Destroyer and Yes Andre had a role in it he played Dagoth the monster at the end of the movie. He was under a lot of makeup and in a costume so it's hard to recognize him.
Different Strokes? Wasn't that a TV-series?

Yes Diff'rent Strokes was a TV series and the character of Arnold was played by little man Gary Coleman (who makes an appearance at the end of Cena's I'm a Bad Man video).

Andre was in that movie?....I think that photo shows us Andre wasn't quite 7'0...as Wilt himself is 7'1 ans appears to have an inch or two on Andre

There's been much debate about Andre's legit height. At times, he genuinely looked close to his billed height, and at times far below it. As his health deteriorated, he seemed to loose some of that height. I saw a picture from what may have been his final tour of Japan in the early '90s, and he looked to be close to the same height as Terry Gordy. Either way, I miss Andre, as he was one of my favorites, and to me he'll always be "The Boss".

I think when Vince McMahon first got a hold of Andre, he would have Andre stand on a box when he interviewed him. The illusion being that Andre was even taller than McMahon than he actually was.

In that picture Andre is pretty hunched over, so standing straight up he'd be an inch or two taller.

In his book Tributes II Dave Meltzer wrote the following anbout Andre:
The 7-4 figure created when he first came to Montreal in late 1970, was probably because the most famous tall athlete in the world at the time, basket ball star …Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, was 7-2, and promoters wanted to bill him as the tallest athlete in the world. The last time he was measured in France, at the age of 24, [1970], he was 6-9 3/4. (p. 68)
I think he grew a bit from that since he suffered from acromegali.. my best guess is that he was 6'11" in his prime. However this proves that he was at least 6'9 3/4"
Andre was the greatest in my mind.

Also Wilt is wearing a huge wig, that might give him an inch.

Andre also appeared in a film called The Princess Bride.
As for his height, Arnie is 6ft 3 and Andre looks a good foot taller than Arnie.

I don't think Arnold is more than 6' maybe 6'1 in his youth. IMDB says he's 6ft 2" so were both wrong ;D
