when did a Spider-Man villain wrestle for WCW? I don't know if I would call Bone Saw McGraw a true villain.

See, I think it's absolute stupid for them to ignore the unmasking. They can still have him wear the mask to sell it to kids, but why act like he never took it off in WCW? Are they really making more money on the idea that we don't know what he looks like?
Maybe he's had some horrific scars in recent years.

Other than out of the blue saying he's putting the mask back on. Its more ignoring the truth at this point than lying.

Isn't it still supposed to be a big deal that he CAN'T wear the Mask in Mexico at all, because it'd be making a mockery out of him being de-masked in the first place, and the only reason he can sort of get away with wearing it in WWE is because he changed his ring name from "Rey Misterio Jr." to "Rey Mysterio"?

I wanted him to do that at the Eddie tribute show, would've been a really special moment They would've, but it's not the same guy. See the actual secret reason for the mask is that, much like Menudo before him, every time a "Rey" hits puberty, he is replaced with another 8 year old mexican kid. The one WWE uses now is the 5th one. It's sad, cause the fourth one had those stupid ass tattoos, so now all the replacement children have to get them too. Thumbs up good sir, thumbs up

when the wwf came to belfast one time Rey mysterio was walking about the complex the arena was in with his mask off and I kept telling the 3 mates i was with that it was him and they laughed at me and said that he was way to small to be rey mesterio. then i asked when the last time they saw a hispanic in belfast was and then they thought i was right. I went and shook hands with him then just to prove my point. But there are a lot of people who didn't watch wcw when he took it off so it might be considered a big deal among new and younger fans.

I hate how no one else is allowed to wear a mask. Masks are cool and make wrestling different and fun and they instantly add character to a wrestler. WWE needs more masks.

Yeah, but not everyone watched WCW at that time, especially with WWE killing them in the ratings when Mysterio lost his mask. Plus, I guess in lucha libre, it's a sign of respect, maybe, haha. I don't know. And yet at ONS 2005, Psichosis removed his mask before his match with Mysterio and he never put it back on.

Does anyone else hate how they act like Mysterio's mask is such a big deal? Remember a few years ago on Tough Enough, when the contestants were "honored" by having Mysterio remove his mask and show them his face (the camera was behind him so viewers couldn't see). Don't they realize we can just go watch any WCW tape from Superbrawl 1999 till the end of the company to see Rey without his mask? I can appreciate that, though. It is a big deal in Mexico, and as much as WWE spits on tradition, at least they still make him having his mask mean something.

It really is like some people don't want ANYTHING to be special in wrestling at all... in WWE, Rey wears a mask. Rey is absurbly popular with a number of demographics... ergo, they're in the right.

I don't think that it's because wrestlers aren't allowed to wear masks, I think it's just that there aren't enough wrestlers who gimmick warrants it. Now that WWE is looking to go further into the Hispanic market, that will more than likely change. And you know if they ever do sign Mistico, he'll have his mask on for sure.

I'm more annoyed at Mysterio's offense. I know he doesn't have much to work with, but could his offense possibly look ANY weaker?
