After 12 months, 51 original episodes, over 200 matches, 104 hours and 65 polls, it has come to this.
Your two contenders are:
Shawn Michaels vs John Cena in the one-hour long match from Raw on April 23, 2007
and
Triple H vs Ric Flair in Flair's last match ever in the Greensboro Coliseum.
Pick wisely young jedi's.

I'm gonna go with the epic hour-long match from April 23rd, 2007 in London, England which saw John Cena fight HBK in a non-title rematch from Wrestlemania.

Shawn and Cena. How could Flair even be in contention for a MOTY?? He does nothing but chop these days and triple H isnt nearly what he used to be in the ring since his 2 quad injuries.

Hunter-Flair is on a roll, in three straight days they have won Match of the Night, Month and Half-Year. It's sad that Jeff Hardy didn't make it this far after all the MOTN's he won.

HBK/Cena, for many reasons, the key one being it actually had a clean finish.

I picked Ric Flair Vs. Triple H. I liked the match a lot but if it had a clean finish it would have been a lot better. Also I'm not taking anything away from the John Cena Vs. Shawn Michaels match. It's a great match but I'm just a mark for Flair.

By the way, I don't know if I ever said this, but in case of a tie, I cast the deciding vote. That's why you'll note I don't usually mention who I vote for.

Ceba/HBK and it's not even close...
There are many other matches better than Flair/HHH. As stated above, all Flair can do is throwing chops, chopblocks and slap on the figure-four. Post-injury Triple H needs a good opponent to look good, not his 60 years old putative father...

Flair/H wasn't even that great. The finish was awkward and well, sucked.

I can't believe I'm saying this. I seriously can not believe I'm saying this. But John Cena was in the Raw match of the year. Yeah, it was with HBK, who's matches I usually do like. But both guys put on one hell of a show that night, and earned every vote they get.
And just for the hell of it, my favorite non-wrestling segment was Santino meets Steve Austin.

I voted Cena/Michaels. I liked their WM match more but this was classic Monday Night RAW.

Just rewatched both specifically to vote for this thread. I seem to remember the HBK/Cena match being a lot more exciting than it actually was. Rewatching it, i kept waiting for the end sequence where everything would speed up, leading to a ton of near falls, and so on. Never really happened. It was slow and methodical the whole way through until HBK's superkick.
That said, I still vote for the London match because the sudden Regal interference really ruined the Flair/HHH match for me (yes, i realize it was done to probably start an angle, but this thread is specifically about the matches in question)
I think the HHH/Flair match had a better 'big match feel', though.

Definatley the hour.
I'm not getting the fuss about the Flair vs. HHH match. It was the best match Flair has had in a long time, but I don't see it as that awesome of a matchl.
