You know I hope they bring him back soon. Shelton, Chavo, Punk, Morrison, Burke are all amazing and can make ECW a cool little brand. But they need one more face in there. They are pretty low on faces, true.

I'm hoping Burke is our marathon guy this year in the Rumble match, only to lose as one of the final 6 guys in the ring.

I guess in the wonderful world of "Kayfabe" he's taking time off to let his ego deal with the fact that Batista beat him two straight times, the last of which was on Elijah's "home turf." In honesty, though, I'm not sure why they had him have two matches with Batista where Burke dominates and only loses because of a burst of power moves from Batista, making Burke look like a threat, to just let Burke disappear for a while. Where is the "He stood man-to-man with Batista and he may not have came out on top, but he made sure his name was remembered!" style commentary? Meh. Yeah those 2 matches were good

I'll be very disappointed and frustrated if WWE drops the ball with Burke. He has too much talent and potential to let it all go to waste.

Kofi should hopefully fit in there as a face fine. And maybe they'll remember that Stevie was in the midst of a good push when he comes back from that throat surgery. And I'm not sure Chavo is full time ECW, I think he is just a guy form Smackdown who came to ECW, like Kane.

And I'm not sure Chavo is full time ECW, I think he is just a guy form Smackdown who came to ECW, like Kane. I think Chavo will be there mainly. They probably haven't said he is an 'ECW superstar' because it will make a mockery of the talent exchange. What would be the point of announcing a switch from Smackdown if he could have done it without switching anything at all? They've put him in the title picture, so he'll be here for a little while yet. I think Kane and one other face will set the brand along fine. Kofi won't be able to come in immediately and get the kind of reactions that warrant programmes with the estbalished guys just yet, so someone else is needed. I can see a turn for either Burke or Shelton when they let their 'competitiveness' get the better of them. It's funny, from having virtually no roster ECW is shaping up quite nicely now. They are treating it as the place where any guy that is lost in the shuffle on Raw/SD can go and get a credible push and mean something in the company. They can then get sent back to Raw/SD when they have made something of themselves. People questionned the continuation of ECW but I think it's too good a vehicle to shut down. Having the option of a show dedicated to up and coming talent mixing with good workers like Kane and Chavo is a good idea. I think that's why it's good to still call it ECW as well. If they called it 'midcard Tuesday' or some such thing, it probably wouldn't get the viewers. Even if they aren't treating it as a truly hardcore brand anymore, calling it ECW gives it some sort of prestige that will make people tune in.

I think the name of ECW fits because the people there kind of seem like misfits, you know? People who don't quite fit in elsewhere, but now have a place to call their own.

Burke should be moved over to SD and given some airtime.
(Not RAW, where he WOULD be lost in the shuffle of main event feuds that take up 95% of the program)

Burke would make a good challenger for Matt Hardy once he gets the US Title. Though the way that feud is, it'll probably be until like June before Matt/MVP is over for good.

I think Elijah is just taking some time off while the WWE thinks up something new for him. They had a spot for him up until they decided to actually stick with the Miz/Morrisson team, instead of going further with the feud. But now, it's still CM Punk vs. Every Heel In ECW/Smackdown.... I half-expect him to come back around the time Kofi Kingston makes his official debut, though.

I hope that he gets used better this year, he's one of the few guys in the WWE that I actually care about anymore...I don't watch it all that much, but I do like certain guys and want to see them succeed...
