ECW on Sci Fi last night scored a 1.2 cable rating.
Gerweck.net
Disappointing. That's all I'm saying. Yang/Moore/Morrison/Miz have put on some darn good TV tag matches and hyping their tag match doesn't even get a ratings boost (or if there is one, a very minimal boost).

I'm part of the problem. Granted I don't have a Neilson box but I haven't watched in about a month.

Did they really hype it besides on WWE.com? I may have missed it, but during RAW the only commercials for ECW that I saw were both hyping that the show had the exact same main event as last week.

They mentioned it...I believe...after the Moore/Yang v. Deuce & Domino match on Smackdown. Although, I stand by my belief that ECW would do better if they would take a minute out of their time to hype it on Raw.

People aren't going to watch ECW to see SmackDown guys (especially lower-card guys) wrestle. They can watch SmackDown for that. The matches HAVE been good, but the fans have been conditioned to not care about ECW.

I laugh at people who thought that Moore Wang = Ratings.

What about an ECW Rebound on the other shows? And why don't they do a "This Week in ECW History" segment too?

It's not that hard to bring up ECW either.
I mean, one easy segway in. Talk about it for 30 seconds or so with JR or King hyping how they'd like to see what will happen, and one easy segway out. Maybe a 30 second hype video (Not the commercials. They barely hype the show and people ignore commercials anyway).

ECW might want to cut down on some entrances too. It would save a lot of time.

I got drunk and passed out Missed ECW... Chavo's return and Shelton's push had gotten me watching more, recently, as did the Tag Title feud.

I blame the ratings on Chavo.
He said when he was injured, he used to watch ECW.
Daggone it, Chavo! SET YOUR TIVO!

We're not a Nielson Family either, but I've always wondered something. If you tape a television show and watch it later, you're technically still a part of that audience. Those Nielson boxes can't pick up what a VCR is recording. I wonder though, in this current day of TiVo and DVR recorders, don't you think Nielson should figure out how to monitor those recordings?

ECW is the only wrestling show I consistantly watch. It's only an hour and has actual characters I enjoy.

1.2 even WITH the Diva Dance Off? And the Gold Standard? Say it ain't so!
They need to end this show, merge the belt with Smackdown title and move the ECW guys to either of the other brands.
The experiment failed. Move on.

not really, its not costing them money and its giving them a platform to develop young talent and repackage stagnant midcarders, so id say its doing its job.
