I know that most of you want the Tenta forum to remain open. For the time being, I agree.
However, the reason behind this forum, Mr. Tenta, is now gone. We all had fun, but to me, last call has been served. Sometimes you just have to know when to end a good thing.
If this forum stays open, after a few months, the posts will probably get stagnant. I don't think that there's much honor in that... posting, simply because we can. There's really only so many career highlights and Tenta memories we can share, before things just get redundant.
What I'd like to see is for all the "meaningless" posts to be deleted by the moderators, so all the Tenta content can be preserved, and easily viewed by whomever chooses to do so.

I partially agree, because new posters might still think he is here answering questions.

Maybe there's a way to keep some of the memorial threads open for a while so people can continue to pay their respects. And possibly bring up some of Quake's more memorable threads.
In time maybe just keep the section up as a tribute to Quake but try to make sure no new threads are created.

Name it "The John Tenta Tribute Forum" and lock it. Don't delete any of the current threads though.

I think afew locked Sticky Theards that have Quake's posts in them or something. But I think a place where we could exchange Quake memories and talk and stuff would be great.

Keep it open for a "mourning period". Then lock it but keep it up. Then Every Year Re-open it for two weeks as a memorial.
Still in shock PTB

I say (with someone who has a lot of time) that someone should go through, filter out everything irrrelevant, and keep the rest as a locked tribute.

Bingo. All extraneous stuff should be deleted, the keeper posts grammatically corrected, and this forum locked. I also say that, for this forums' last thread, some sort of tribute should be written by somebody, and we should all post in that thread and say our final goodbyes. (Kind of like a card.)

Name it "The John Tenta Tribute Forum" and lock it. Don't delete any of the current threads though. I say lock it and archive it. Nothing should be deleted or edited because it all was a part of the experience fans had with John Tenta. The only way it should be kept open would be if it was turned into a general wrestlers forum, if someone like the Meanie wanted to come back and pick up where John Tenta left off with the wrestling public.

I believe it should be locked as a tribute and all of the stuff John posted should be easily accessible for people, such as stickying specific threads.
If there's anything rude or offensive though, it should be deleted. I do remember some very ignorant people that came here to talk trash to Quake a month or three ago. They were dealt with swiftly though.

I think it should be kept open. If someone still has something to share about 'Quake, I'm sure that we'd all like to hear it. We can always sticky important threads or stuff that he posted a lot on.

My personal opinion is that the whole section should be locked except for one thread where people can post condolences. All the posts should stay exactly where they are. As someone mentioned, a couple of months ago we had some people invade this forum with some pretty low comments. To my knowledge, all of those posts were deleted so anything else should be mostly ok.

Move all the "important threads" up to the front page & keep 'em all locked. Bar maybe a condolences thread. And, if possible, make it so that this forum can't have any new threads created, lest we get a school of 'Quake bashers returning to spread their malicious garbage! Name it "The John Tenta Tribute Forum" This is a good idea. Renaming it the John Tenta Memorial Forum or something would ensure that any new members don't get the wrong impression & think that John is still alive (just incase they hadn't heard already).

My idea is to do something like the Merle Vincent tribute page.... so we can make this forum for something else... have a link on the main page to a John Tenta tribute so he will never be forgotten here... I'm sure Mr. Tenta wouldnt mind using this forum for something else wrestling related now....

I say keep the forum, maybe lock a few threads in about, I'd say a month or two, but still leave some open (for continued mourning, a memory thread, etc).

i like the idea of locking it so we can still read the stuff quake said and leave it as a locked tribute forum and then re open it every year for a few weeks close to the date of his passing so we can discuss qauke memories
keeping it up and locked is the best way to show our respect i feel
