I have to admit that was AWESOME swerve booking by WWE Creative. I was expecting Big Show and then.............
IT'S JOHN CENA AND EVERYONE'S CRAPPING ON HIM!

So yeah, I just went back and watched his entrance a couple of times. I made sure to take note of the roof blowing off the arena when he came out, and then the roof blowing off the arena when Cena and Trips had their face-to-face staredown. Yup, completely forgettable.

I thought it was absolutely brilliant.
Up until a few months ago, I was blase about the guy. I didn't hate him like alot of others. But now I think he is great. I think this was the first time in a few years I really marked out. When that music hit, when the crowd went crazy....
Great royal rumble moment.

I don't mean to be inflammatory, but I think if anyone was going to be pissed off at anything, the IWC's golden boy Chris Jericho should be the guy. Him and JBL absolutely stunk up the joint last night.

How did he manage to return so soon? I mean, I'm pleased that John Cena has recovered and I think he's a decent wrestler, and the return was managed in as effective and surprising a fashion as possible, but I much preferred the booking when they didn't have him overcoming the odds in every match. It made the shows more interesting.

How did he manage to return so soon? If i had to guess, after they went in and performed the surgery, they found out that it wasn't as bad as they thought, so they set his return sooner than expected. At the time, WWE decided to not tell the fans and just make us believe that he would be out as long as they originally said. Plus Cena probably rehabbed like crazy to make sure he'd get back sooner rather than latter. They managed to stick to their guns and not a single person knew it was coming.

I don't mind that he's back...but don't give him a main event spot again already.

Rumble was brilliant. One of the best of all time for the sheer booking of it even if you don't like the people it was booked around

I quite enjoyed that - way better than HGH winning anyways. AGREED! I actually like the swerve (even though it's gonna hurt come Mania) and I like the fact that Triple H lost. I'm still glad I didn't order the PPV though. Not so much that I think it sucked, but moreso that I saved my money and got to watch the internet explode for free! Seriously, this is some high-quality entertainment rightchere!

Cena returns and wins? Why must the superman era be restarted so soon? We were doing so well!!! Because Vince seems to legitimately think that the fans only come to see Trips, Cena, Batista, and Orton. I'm not watching the WWE for a long while after this.

Man, that was awesome. Me and my friend were debating about number 30, I was saying Big Show and he was saying Vince and then Cena's music hit and I marked like a child! It was so well done by the WWE especially since Cena said he wasn't even going to feature at Mania. It actually made my night.

I think that HHH should have been the one to win the Rumble, because he's been out of the title picture for so long. Don't get me wrong, he's always had the perception of the upper carder, but in the past year, how many title matches has he had? He's spent the past year goofing around with Vince and whoever he throws at him, as well as putting over Jeff Hardy, who will now be de-pushed back to the midcard. The man deserves a title shot, but for some reason everyone thinks that losing to him means you're getting buried. Raw has plenty of people that can be in the title picture. Have Cena, Jericho, HHH, Hardy, and Kennedy chase each other for a while. If the WWE goes and does something crazy like booking title changes on Raw, this could really work out well for them.
And the reason I'm not surprised Cena came back: they didn't even change the damn belt. That means it's going right back around Cena's...shoulder. Plus, coming back from major surgery in 4 months was sooooo beating the odds.

Love or hate Cena, it was a hell of a moment. But the problem is that all of Jeff Hardy's momentum has been stifled with the return of Krypton, MA's favorite son
