typical heel stuff, insult the crowd, try to put down a fan favorite. and his point was parents do a bad job with their kids, thus bringing them to a TV14 rated tv show proves his point (kayfabe, i mean. just kayfabe).
i shouldnt say this, but i was hoping to see the sheleighly (sp?) disappear, if you catch my drift, and i think you do.

it was a bit of an eye opener just to see how many kids were actually at raw. Another reason why ECW should be proper ECW. You can't make one product that will please older fans and cater to kids, that segment last night proved it. Well, I read that WWE wanted to make themselves more family-friendly, because people like Cena and Rey and like Hornswoggle are so over with the little kids. And I read an article like that, and I just shake my head, because I don't want wrestling to go back to the cartoonish, kid-friendly stuff of the past. WWE was at it's best when it stopped catering to kids and started trying to get adults in totally

actually now i think about it the quote "I'm your father and i said kiss it!" might be the most disturbing aspect of the whole segment.

There's just something gross about this old guy with his ass hanging out yelling "ass" and "bastard" Now you know how the midgets felt when Pat Patterson showed up in the locker room.

I would think Vince constantly showing his ass would bother people more than him uttering the word. Sometimes (translation: pretty much all the time), I'm convinced that the whole Hornswoggle angle is to give Vince a chance to say "BAS-TARRRRD" as much as humanly possible. And yeah, I'm way more offended by kids having to see his scary ass than having him talk about it.

I thought Vince telling the parents how to discipline their kids was hilarious. Classic what-does-this-have-to-do-with-wrestling Mcmahon.
I also agree with this. In fact near the end of the segment he just said "my son" then when back and corrected himself by throwin in the B-word.

Vince was a heel to the daggone max last night. It was hilarious.
"All you kids stand up! Stand up! Parents...they're ALLLLL spoiled BRATS!"
"Say 'What' if you're an unresponsible parent!"
Although, the only thing I would have changed was the ending. That segment seemed built just for Finlay to KO Vince. Hornswoggle going for the 'Shark Bite' was kind of blah.

Wait... so no one thought of the kids when Edge had his live sex act, or when DX dropped shit on the Spirit Squad, or when Stone Cold splashes beer over the first 4 rows of people?

The word bastard is a big deal? I'm a bastard child and I find the word highly humorous. You say your name is "Boku Wa Midori Otoko" and you're a bastard. I say your name is "Boku Wa Midori Otoko" and you're a bathturd.[/Lashley]

Hell, if you have a problem with the word Bastard then never come over to AUstralia where we use it as a compliment.

This is why I don't understand not making the three brands more distinct. You could have the family friendly cornball brand full of Hornswoggles and Cenas (Raw), a middle-of-the-road brand much in the style of WCW (Smackdown), and the raunchy, Attitude-era show (ECW, ideally, although I suppose it couldn't be taped with Smackdown).

Can't believe there's not a thread about this but... Last night's RAW where Vinnie Mac is addressing all of the children and the camera cuts to all these little kids...then Vinnie says "ass" and "bastard" Put those words together and you've got a new insult/swear word.

or when DX dropped crap on the Spirit Squad I thought little kids were the only ones who could laugh about that.

Raw was differnt with all the kids in the crowd. It was one of the first times I felt old for watching wrestling.
It also made WWE look like a daycare.

If they are not bothered by a senior citizen exposing his ass or a bunch of inflated sluts fighting, then nothing would bother them. I'm bothered by the fact that a guy could sound judgmental about another person's morals when he refers to women he does not know as "inflated sluts."

Last night's RAW where Vinnie Mac is addressing all of the children and the camera cuts to all these little kids...then Vinnie says "ass" and "bastard" a bunch of times-- and nothing? No response? Is it because it was after 9pm? Is it because the parents are bad parents for bringing their kids to wrestling when they know they'll hear that kind of language? Did this juxtaposition bother no one else? He did a segment on things being pulled out of Jim Ross' ass. He has Divas walking around barely clothed half the time, some times not. And these words are a mainstay of the promotion. If parents let their kids watch wrestling in general and don't explain the rights and wrongs of it, then they are bad parents. If you let your children watch the WWE in general, I'm imagining you don't care too much about their developing minds. At least buy the old WWF stuff and show 'em that. Prepare them at least.

Reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Homer finds out he has a brother and is a child out of wedlock. Bart: "Cool! Your brother is a bastard." Marge: "Bart! Watch your language!" Bart: "Well, that is what he is, isn't he? It's the proper context for the word isn't it?" Homer: "Well, he got us there." Bart (singing): "Bastard, Bas-tard! Bastard, bastard!" Homer: "BART! BARRRRT!"
