I would LOVE to see Michaels/Flair go on last, and have the entire locker room come out at the end and give Flair a final salute. f*** kayfabe, the man deserves it.
But since they aren't even advertising HBK/Flair in the WrestleMania ads, it'll probably be in the midcard somewhere.

If done right, it will stand side by side next to Hulk/Andre in WrestleMania moments. If it's the middle of the card, I wouldn't expect the whole roster to pour out...that will happen on Raw. If it goes on last...the whole roster thing could happen.
If Flair is gonna retire, they need to think of time. What if he gets a 10+ minute standing ovation? It wouldn't be unheard of. WWE needs extra time considerations for just what could happen if this really is Flair's last match.

Honestly, I dont think Ric Flair will retire if loses. How many times have we not seen these Ric Flair retirement angles? and honestly, since when did any of these retirement angles actually last and the retired wrestler stays retired? It didnt happen with Flair vs. Hogan, didnt happen with Mick Foley, didnt happen with Hogan, the list goes on.
The day Flair actually does retire forever, it will be due to one of two things: injury or death. Although it would be nice to see Flair retire on his own terms, in good health.

I say Michaels goes for the figure four, and as soon as he locks it in Vince forces the timekeeper to ring the bell. Then Flair slaps Vince and spells out TNA to the camera. In all seriousness though, I'm not sure how it'll go. I really think he's going to lose. But as already mentioned something that big should be last to end the show with a celebration like they did on RAW a few years ago, and since that won't be the case maybe he won't lose. Personally I'd really like to see him on the verge of losing, HBK tuning up the band or something and Arn Anderson interferes somehow to give Flair the win. Add Windham and Tully to the mix and it'd be perfect. Seconded. I'd LOVE MIcheals to be in control and then the music hits and we have ourselves a Horsemen run in/beat down like the old days. Honestly, though, I'm all for the total breaking of kayfabe and a standing ovation from the locker room, as taht would be fitting. However, with the whole time constraints thing, not sure if that'd happen.

I'd love the whole locker room to come out, while the crowd is giving him a' Thank you Ric' chant and the horsemen hoist him onto their shoulders.
Seeing as that could only happen if it was the last match though, what I think would be a nice touch is it Vince came out, everyone thinks he is going to do the your fired thing, but Vince shakes his hand, and raises his arm. Vince could then symbolise the whole roster breaking kayfabe. I feel that would be an extremely touching moment, considering they've had a rivalry. It would be the greatest ever promoter giving the greatest ever wrestler the deserved send off.
They don't really need Vince to play heel anymore, so I think this could happen. He hasn't got a story heading into Mania either, so it could happen with this. Of course he could go back to heel the next night and just consider the Flair bit part of breaking kayfabe - as that could make it even more special.
Seriously though, if the whole roster can't come out, I want Vince to, then to tease a 'YOUUUUUUUUU'RE FIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRED!' only for him to just say 'Thank you, Ric' shake his hand, raise his arm, and then walk away to let Flair have his moment. Would be so emotional.

I love it. Infact I love it so much that, if Vince doesn't come out now and either turn face/break kayfabe by showing massive respect to Flair, I will riot. Infact what would be even better is it the guys from Flair's past who they could get to the event, such as Arn etc etc, all come out and hug Flair, then Vince comes out, they all think he is going to ruin the moment, but he just shows him huge respect. Then they all leave, allow Flair to bask in the glory of the Mania crowd, and it would be an awesome Mania moment. I don't know why I'm so set on Vince doing something, I just think it will be the ultimate respect if Vince, so often the evil boss and tyrant against the good guys, even HE comes out and pays respect to Flair. It will really bring home how important Flair is.

How will it work after the match assuming Flair loses at WM? Will he get a standing ovation? Will the locker room empty with everyone standing on the ramp giving an ovation to the greatest of all time? Or will Vince come out and do the phlegmy "YOU'RE FIRRRRED" and make the moment more about him? Even if he gets a beatdown afterwards, he can still ruin the moment somewhat. If the last time Flair stood in a wrestling ring was getting "fired" by Vince as opposed to getting to hold his head high, I have a feeling they'd piss off more than just a handful of their fanbase. Vince wasn't above exploiting Eddie Guerrero to make money after he died. He certainly wouldn't be above making Ric Flair's final match more about himself.

I want this match to be the main event.
I did just say that.
I want Flair vs. Michaels to be the main event with all title matches to go on earlier. Why? You have two proven main eventers that can still put on a decent 15-25 minute match, and then when Flair loses, either there will be a celebration, or the arena will turn black as Flair leaves his boots in the ring. For a man like Flair who has done so much for the wrestling business, I think his match should be the main event of 24.

They won't put it last, cause if they do it takes away any doubt that anyone would have over the result. (Obviously we know, but marks don't.)

Be funny if WWE expected this huge standing ovation for Flair, and everybody in the crowd just sits there sitting on their hands because they don't give a smurf about him. I'd mark for that. It would never happen because he's just too respected but I can't help but wonder how the other wrestlers would react if they did do a post-match celebration and the fans broke out the NAHNAHNAHNAH-HEYHEYHEY-GOODBYE chant. I could see some of those guys getting seriously pissed off. I would get pissed off, because that's just downright disrespectful. You gotta be FAIR to FLAIR.

I'm on record as wanting to see Flair join the Vince McMahon Kiss My Ass Club and receiving the Pedigree, have his head shaved and then having to hear the glorious words "YOOURRRRRRR FIRRRRRRRED!", and then get beat up by Umaga, who gets in a feud with Triple H over who gets to beat up Flair. Cause if Flair should put anyone over, it should be Vince and Hunter.

Even if they swerve us and have Flair win, but say do a "go out on top" deal, it should be the last match. NOTHING esle on the card can be more important/memorable than Flair's retirement.
