In an interview with Bryan Alvarez, Lance Storm stated that he text messaged buddy Adam “Edge” Copeland after Wrestlemania to congratulate him for his phenomenal World Heavyweight title match against The Undertaker. In response, Edge was reserved and wasn’t thrilled with the match. He said that there was a lot to follow on the show. Copeland said his match was ‘ok.’

I didn't see this posted (and I even checked the 2nd page), but if I missed it...sorry.
I guess it's a good thing that Edge isn't egotistical about his match, because I thought it was better than "okay."

it was very good, however he's right, whatever came after flair-michaels was always going to look a bit sub-par

I thought it was his best match since Vengence 2007 against Batista.

I'm sure the rematch will be better, but yeah it wasn't that great or epic or anything.
Pretty hard to follow Flair/HBK.
Kinda the same thing with Jericho/HHH trying to follow Hogan/Rock.

I liked it and I liked the (too short) triple threat, but Flair/Michaels was one of Flair's best matches in a long time, so I can understand the dissatisfaction.

I thought that his match was very good. I liked the ending just as much as Michaels/Flair.

Everything sent via text message is a lie. Why would Lance Storm lie about this?

Can't be true, he doesn't even mention TNA.

Can't be true, he doesn't even mention TNA. And not once does he speak of Undertaker being on his back.

Granted Flair/Michaels was THE match of the night and it was going to be hard for anyone to follow that, but Edge had a great match with Taker. He shouldn't be so hard on himself, as that's probably the best match he's had in a while and the second best WM 24 match in my opinion. He did a great job.

He's probably sad because Ultimate Robinson stole the show.

I agree with Edge, the match was okay. It was a solid match but it was nothing special.

Yeah, to be 100% honest. I thought the match wasn't that great in the beginning. It built up into a good one, but as I was watching, I felt that it was nothing special. That's not to say it sucked, but I wasn't just blown away by it. This coming from Taker's biggest mark.
I actually liked Undertaker's last WrestleMania title match against Batista more than this one I think.

It was a good match imo.
But anything having to follow HBK/Flair was basically only allowed to be ok or worse. That's a hard deal to follow ya know.

Personally I liked it better than Flair/HBK. But I agree though it doesn't even touch the match with Batista.

It is hard to top Flair/HBK, it's one of those 'Mania moments they'll replay for years to come and is a top candidate for MotY despite us only being 4 months into 2008.
But Edge's match with 'Taker was the 2nd best match IMO, it was main-event worthy, it seemed it coulda gone either way. Edge looked strong being defeated with a move that just came out of nowhere and showed us he has come a long way over the last few years.
