Statistically, this rating is essentially stable, which is a good thing for TNA. If they can get another 1.2 (or better) this week, January's average will be very close to 1.2.

I predicted 1.8 by the end of 2008, which means they need a 1.4 by June. So far so good.

once again i'm amazed how people think an extra ten or twenty-thousand people tuning in over a 2 week period immediately means ratings can only go up from here.

It would actually be an extra 100,000. 10,000 would be if they went from 1.1 to a 1.11.

But I was trying to be polite.

You're right it's 100 k up from their "usual" but they've reached that number before, so it's not anything special. So in theory it's now measuring all those wonderful hundreths of a point.

I like how I've inadvertantly managed to create a sort of unspoken "Lance Storm VS TNA" atmosphere in this forum by posting his columns now and then. Especially, when that was never my plan, and I imagine it wasn't Lance's. I just liked the discussions they tended to produce.

However, I get a real kick out of the whole "BA-HAH!! SEE THE RATINGZ1? TAKE THAT LANCE STORM!!" comments from time to time. You tell 'em, fellas.
