I dont understand why people are treating this like it's "dropping something" or a firing. They brought in a freelance guy, ran some programs for him, he did a few jobs, won a few matches. Its the way wrestling used to be. A guy came into a territory, tried to see if he got some heat, he didn't and was on his way back to his territory. He just looked like a Scott Hall vampire, and there was nothing about him that made anyone care. They used him in a storyline where he was Abyss' half-brother and James Mitchell's son. In addition to being hackneyed that's also kind of a big thing to let a temp end up being in terms of storylines (convoluted as they may be) Consider the ball very, very dropped.

Bahahahah. They spent how long hyping him up, and he's done NOTHING! In all honesty, there really isn't much you can do with a 5-foot-6 monster. yeah there was a lot they could do with him. Unlike Abyss who was a masochist, somebody who endured a beating until the opponent was tired out. Mecias was a full on Sadist intent on hurting people. He stabbed abyss in the arm, he dragged people under the ring. He could have just been this monster of violence who wanted to carve people up because he just wanted to. but he jobbed out to Christian cage, and then Rhino most recently.. i really think they could easily transition him to a bigger role, but then he doesn't work full time for TNA

Bahahahah. They spent how long hyping him up, and he's done NOTHING! In all honesty, there really isn't much you can do with a 5-foot-6 "monster". If you watch AAA, the guy's a few inches shorter than Konnan, who's listed at "5-10". Like many of Banderas' supporters, TNA saw him on WSX and thought he was neato. He isn't. He sucks. And on top of that, he's short. If he wants to make a career out of being 2008 Kevin Sullivan (figuratively and physically), that's his deal, but I don't think there's money in that in modern times. They were paying him $1,000 a match? I was convinced that TNA wasn't necessarily pissing money away after not paying for the non-main eventers hotel rooms during the tapings, but wow, that's a waste of money. At that price, they'd have to assume at least 33 people (1,000 divided by 29.99) were willing to watch Mesias wrestle on PPV after every one of his matches, and I'm not sure he's worth that. AAA is his bread and butter. He probably could get more there than TNA. His gimmick in TNA was pretty stupid I thought. And of course he was stuck with Abyss who I find boring as hell.

So... they brought him in, put him in a storyline where he was a former world champions evil half-brother, worked this storyline up for well over a year, then immediately dropped him as soon as it hit a pause? This is the stupidest f***ing decision I've ever seen.

Sounds like a billion stupid storylines to me. I really could care less about Russos stories and the quicker they drop them the better. How long have you been watching wrestling that you think the ball is somehow dropped? The fact that he's his half brother is kind of, sort of been mentioned. In fact I would make jokes about it with friends cause we werent even sure. Its just another stupid Russo story that went nowhere, got done, and a freelance guy leaving. If you werent negative you wouldnt even care.

The whole reason they brought him in was cuz he caused conterversy with the whole fireball in that short lived MTV wrestling show.

That would be nice, but TNA removed Raven's profile from their website. Probably not the best of signs for a return...

Everytime I get interested in a TNA wrestler they totally mess it up.. first Monty Brown was my fav TNA wrestler then they lost him.. now I was starting to really like Judas Macias and hes leaving.. not to mention Abyss taking of his mask and dissapearing.. who knows how they'll screw him up.. also The Austin Star he was one of my favs.. gone.. AJ looks like a stupid lacky.. Christopher Daniels has a completely lame gimmick now.. Shark Boy is stupid.. wheres Raven? Everytime I start to get interested they ruin it for me.. gah!

You mean nobody wants to see a bad ass character who's only intent is to cause pain to people? It would also have involved a costume change for the guy.. but then you know...whatever dude

It was the costume change...Put him in something different other than speedos.
and let him STAB people with glass
Otherwise I'm not to bothered by it, as it was probably going to lead up to a barbedwire inferno match

The whole reason they brought him in was cuz he caused conterversy with the whole fireball in that short lived MTV wrestling show. actually, they were trying to get him to be Apollo's replacement in LAX when he got fired, but he was busy in Puerto Rico so they decided to use Machete for awhile, then Banderas went to AAA/WSX so they went after Hernandez. In short, they wanted Mesias long before his WSX run
