I really hope that they add Smackdown when RAW catches up to it. I really liked seeing the first Smackdown and then watching the next RAW.

It's more like 4 times a month, and the big updates are the 1st and 3rd week updates.

Didn't we hear about this happening in January 2012? I hope WWE doesn't give up its VOD presence entirely. Most channels these days have an on-demand counterpart, so just change "WWE Classics" to "WWE Network." Keep some of the current programming and add in whatever the Network airs. I'm really gonna miss Classics if this is true. EDIT: Aw, goddammit! PWInsider confirms. www.pwinsider.com/article/81667/wwe-confirms-the-end-of-classics-on-demand.html?p=1

That sucks. If the WWE Network happens, I hope they pick up where the Classics programming left off.

I'm really going to miss Prime Time Wrestling. I hope the WWE Network will show it (assuming that it ever actually gets off the ground). I started watching wrestling in February of 1990. Getting to see what was happening in the WWF week to week in the months before I started watching has been awesome.

Meltzer now says, they may give away Mania on the network for free if you sign up for it, with price now at $9.95 a month. Getting a ton of sign ups at the launch instead of a cold open. But it's a huge gamble as many will probably quit the network after Mania airs.

That won't exactly help me since I'll be seeing 'Mania in person. $9.95 a month, hmmmm. A bit more than what I currently pay for Classics on Demand but not by much. If this is true, at least I won't have to subscribe to a higher tier (thus getting a bunch of channels I'll never watch.) If the programming looks decent and WWE keeps an on-demand presence of some kind, I'll consider it.

I'll subscribe to the WWE Network if it's offered by my provider but I really don't wanna lose Classics on Demand.

If anyone was holding onto hope that the end of Classics was just NEWZ, it's time to accept reality. I just watched a match in the Shorties section and it was preceded by a message from Gene Okerlund that the service will end on January 31. I've come to terms with the news since reading it on PWInsider but hearing it straight from the horse's mouth (meaning someone from WWE) still hurts.
