I saw Superbad for the first time this weekend on DVD and I love it. I've already watched it at least 5 times since. I keep catching the subtle references and sarcasm that I couldn't catch the first time I saw it.
Awesome film. I want to see Knocked Up and a few other films as well. For a cult film, Superbad kicks the ass of a few other films I can think of.
Also, I hate McLovin almost as much as Seth and Evan do.

I fully supported this until you said you hate McLovin.
But I've seen this movie at least 20 times already and it seriously hasn't gotten old yet. It's just that funny.

Evan is the best character in the movie, his dry wit is excellent.
Him singing "These Eyes"= Priceless

I love it. It is pretty accurate as far as high school goes(minus the cop stuff. But the conversations are dead-on).

I actually thought it was hyped WAY too much. It's ok, and was worth a watch, but nothing I ever need to see again. The cops scenes are the only ones I really laughed at.
That's just me though.

Dude, I thought that McLovin and the cops was the best thing about the movie.

At first I didn't like Seth's constant usage of curse words but after a while, I realize that it's exactly what I heard in high school, even if the words weren't as vulgar as Seth's words.
And when I mean I "hate" McLovin, I hate him in the sense that he pussed out and went along with the cops instead of taking the booze and running.
Granted though, those are some cool cops. Most of the cops I knew in high school were pricks.
And another thought: Why didn't Seth and Evan just get fake IDs? I would have if I were them. I didn't do that stuff in high school but if I were them, I'd say "Screw McLovin!" and get my own fake ID.

Well add me to the list......it was just crude for the sake of being crude in my opinion..... I hope Pineapple Express doesn't dissapoint.....

I admit that I didn't think much of this movie until I saw it.
I guess that's how you should always look at things. If you've never seen something and you make a judgment about it, just think about how unfair that is.

I saw it and I liked it.
However, it wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be. I think they beat people over the head too much with hype

My high school experience wasn't like that...maybe that's why I can't relate..... My high school experience was me and the rest of the football team hanging out talking about sports and things of that sort......and the sex talk wasn't as crude as it was in this movie....

But I've seen this movie at least 20 times already and it seriously hasn't gotten old yet. It's just that funny. Now see, I watched 20 minutes of it, and was sick of it that quickly. Not even joking, the most overrated movie I have ever seen in my life, bar NONE. Not even remotely funny at any point in time. And AGAIN, it has the current bane of Hollywood's existence, Michael Cera. It was like someone followed my most dochebag co-workers around with a camera.
