i made a thread titled "my 100th post ...where i brag".......
this post had nothing to do with bragging about my 100th post...but about the fact that i was going to a cool rock concert...
the next thing i know...almost everybody is making fun of me and laughing at me like i'm the butt of some joke that i don't get...
turns out i was right...apparently there is some "rule" about not bragging about your post count...guess what...? i didn't know...
in fact...after finding out...i have read all the rules...and i don't see anything about "don't brag about your post count".... (unless it's some "rule that was made in a thread")
so.........
unless it's one of the rules...i don't think it's fair to have my post count bumped back to zero... and further more...
i don't think it's fair to let other posters and moderaters just joke around about it and not let somebody know what they have done and let them try to rectify it before it's too late...
i just think the whole situation was handled poorly, and if the "mods" can't do their job (which is to MODerate a post and/or thread and help the new person that might unknowingly break a rule...and punish the regulars that knowingly break the rules...)
then why have i wasted my time reading this forum for many years before joining, and encouraged many others to read and join.............?
will they be treated the same....?
