Hopefully I'll have a good fantasy week. Eli looks to be doing well for himself. Need to check Westbrook & Turner. ;D Westbrook hasn't been doing very good this game. 61 yards on 20 carries.

I wouldn't say Washington is a sure thing either. I mean, they struggled against the Lions and seem to be allergic to any kind of success. We'll see after tomorrow if they are for real or not when they have to get through Pittsburgh. But Dallas desperately needs something to change. They are clearly at the bottom of the division with the Eagles at this point. And depending on how the Eagles do next week against the Giants, they might be at the bottom. Don't put too much bank in Washington based on the Steelers game tomorrow night. I very much so expect them to run all over us. The Steelers are a very banged up team and our secondary is non-existant right now. I think we're as deep as we can go at corner. The offensive line, weak and pathetic when healthy, is banged up too. Our punter is hurt and we have a long snapper who was installing cable TV last week.

Dude your team is winning 23-7. Yeah, and you just won a World Series. Then again, I think the Constitution states that every Philly fan must be disappointed of at least 1 sports team ;D Soooo...I'm not allowed to get upset when my team continues to show total ineptness in an area of the game that is crucial to success? I guess I shouldn't want my team to be as good as they can be and it's ok to be happy with glaring holes? The Eagles have scored like 2 TDs all season from the 3 yard line, plus have constantly failed to get 3rd and shorts. Just because this week they're playing a crappy team and the defense has been in shutdown mode doesn't mean it should be overlooked and forgiven. Missing those goaline scores is huge when playing good teams. If this continues next week, the Giants will crush us this week. Also, just because the Phillies won doesn't carry over to all other teams. They still have to succeed and do as well as they can. If they don't, they will get booed like they should.

"And out West, you're going to have a division winner and that's it."
Ain't that the truth, Buck? They may as well just give the division to the Cardinals right now.

Yeah, and Dallas struggled to beat the Bengals, and the Giants struggled against the Rams (for a half) and the Bengals. What's your point? At the end of the day, they won those games which is what good teams are suppose to do. Even if the Skins lose tomorrow, they are 6-3 and still in 2nd. Hell, some of you here thought they were not going to win more than 2 games this year. Anyway, staying on the same topic, I like how Joe Buck completely ignored the Redskins and Philadelphia when talking about the NFC East. It was basically him talking about the schedule Dallas has left and then "oh yeah, and you also throw in the Skins and Eagles." Thanks Joe.

You shouldn't be upset at shit when your team is up 23-7. This is the NFL, not Little League. You're not going to score each and every time.

And we get the bonus coverage of the last min of a 26-7 game.... great. Can't they just cut to commercial?

It took the Eagles 59 minutes and 44 seconds to get a penalty called on them.

The only concerns I would have in regards to the Redskins is that they're asking a lot of Portis and already have him on pace for a ridiculous amount of carries, on pace to shatter the insane total he carried last year and they're so paper thing at every crucial position. As soon as an offensive lineman goes down, they're in deep trouble. That's the problem with that team, they're a bad mix of age/experience and youth/talent and seem to be built to be consistently above average, not excellent.
Gibbs was out of touch with the game on Sunday, but he put a lot of talent on the roster. Just not depth or a unit that can grow, as half of its built to win now, the other half needs some experience to get there. Snyder and Cerrato are not good football minds and they'll be the ones bringing in the talent in DC now exclusively. That was a disaster prior to Gibbs returning (apparently for a fat paycheck and to return a little dignity to the organization that made his life a little easier).

Maybe its just me but I find Bob Sanders to be the most overrated defensive player in football. All the praise he gets from the media, and when I see him play, I don't get it. Is he a good player? Yes, but him missing games is not the reason why the Colts are playing terribly this year. He's a 5'7'' safety. He's not a defensive end, it's not a linebacker...positions where players can make big plays.
So yeah, I just don't see the hype with this guy.

He's a 100%, full throttle guy who is not afraid to put his own body at risk. And he really does make this team different on defense, especially in the run game.

That game was pretty boring, but the Patriots made some absolutely boneheaded plays there.
Bellicheck's challenge was bad as the replay was quite clear there wasn't 12 men, plus all he gains is a few cheap yards. He let his ego and "f*** You" mentality get in the way there.
Also, burning the last time out on a 4th and 1 that actually made it was stupid as well. There must have been a miscommunication or something but he should have just let the play go.
Finally, going for a 4th an 10 with almost 4 minutes left was just stupid. They had a better chance holding the Colts anyway on a punt that pinned them deep rather than try for it on a very ill advised deep pass.
And whoever that 86 guy is should be cut. That penalty was totally blatant and uncalled for and came at the absolute worst time.
That said, the Colts might be able to use this to springboard into a good second half. Sometimes these ugly wins can be a good motivating factor.

Bellicheck's challenge was bad as the replay was quite clear there wasn't 12 men, plus all he gains is a few cheap yards. He let his ego and "snork You" mentality get in the way there. Usually I sit behind the "I believe in Belichick" defense, but that was a really bad waste of a challenge. At best, the Patriots would've gotten a 1st and 5 at the Colts 40. And at worst, they would have been sitting at 2nd and 10 at the 45. It's not worth wasting a challenge and a time out for five yards, especially in such a tight game. It was a really, really bad decision on the part of a guy who is usually very cerebral. It was a situation they had to go for. If they punt it, the ball would fall anywhere between the 1 and the 20. By going for it, they at least gave themselves a chance, and the interception wasn't the end of the world, as it set the Colts up at the 20. Had Sanders been smart, he would've just knocked the ball down and put the Colts at the 45. David Thomas. And should he be cut? No, but he definitely should be on the receiving end of a brutal tongue-lashing from Belichick, Moss, Welker and any other leaders on the Patriots roster. They had a shot at 3rd and Inches, and he throws in the most unnecessary penalty and takes the Patriots out of field goal range and essentially out of the game. And up until that moment, Thomas had been having arguably his best game as a Patriot. I'm not sweating the fact that the Patriots are in a three-way tie for the division lead. I still believe they are the best team in the East, a slight bit better than the Bills and miles better than the Jets, who are in for a crashing-back-to-earth any moment now. Since Cassel took the reigns, I've been saying 11-5 or 10-6, and I'll stick to my guns. They are 5-3 and not the best team on the planet, but they're still formidable and they have a very soft schedule the rest of the way.
