We should Blame Hannah Montana for this... It's not her fault at all. If anything saved by the bell and the like were the ones who really killed saturday morning cartoons. I hate you Screech Powers.

What really "killed" Saturday Morning Cartoons was the fact that cartoons became assessable 24/7 on many different stations.

Yep, and let's not forget the channels only played cartoons sometimes started playing them more and more often. Like the blocks you just mentioned. Now, I still think our cartoons back in the day were better for the most part (not every single one, just on the whole). They just seemed to have more imagination to me. But of course that's just my opinion.

The best part of the weekend was getting up at the crack of dawn and watching cartoons then going to a friends house to play Double Dragon II for the rest of the day. These kids today are missing out.

I just caught a couple of the 4Kids shows yesterday as my nephew's down. The Ninja Turtles are in the future? Sonic is in space?
...Um, ok.
Neither were overly offensive and it cool to see Baxter Stockman show up in the Turtle episodes, but geez... does everything have to be overly gimmicked?

Has Teenage Mutant Ninja Turltes in animated form really ever avoided being overly gimmicked? I mean, its title has four of them! ;D
