How I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.
I just watched it today for the first time. Maybe 60's subtle satire is lost on me or maybe I need to watch it a 2nd time but its not as great as I always heard it was.
Though I still love the no fighting in the war room line.

Huh. Personally I think it's a great movie. With names like Bat Guanno General Jack D Ripper how could one not.

It's one of my favorite movies. I can understand though how some people may not enjoy it.

I have it on my external hard drive since last semester midterms. I can't believe I still haven't watched it or how I learned to stop worrying about watching it and love life. I'll quit now while I'm ahead but hey my Darth Vader nooooo pic post streak has been broken .

I saw it fiarly recently for the first time. It's decent but I don't think time is doing it any favors to be honest.

I saw it fairly recently for the first time myself, about a month ago or so...I thought it was absolutely brilliant, personally.

Saw it for the first time a month or so ago. I liked it a lot, but I can see why somebody wouldn't get it.

Anyone who turns on the movie expecting rollicking laughs is going to be severely disappointed. And a lot of parts do drag. It's worth watching for historical purposes.

It's a good movie. My favourite scene would be when the President calls up the Russian leader.

I felt the same way. I was told it was one of the funniest films ever, and I finally bought it and watched it. It was funny at times, but I couldn't help but think that it wasn't as good as everyone said it was.

I watched it for the first time a couple of years ago. Although it did have some very funny moments but all in all I found the film be pretty boring.

It's not belly laughs all round but any film where you get to see IMO the greatest physical comedian of all time in 3 parts is ok with me. Peter Sellers rules!

Own the dvd. Love it. It's not for everyone, and it's actually pretty dark, but it's great.
And if you didn't laugh at "You're gonna have to answer to the Coca-Cola company." You may need to see a dr.

I concur with the pinkly-tinted posters above me. It is a very, VERY dark comedy. And the first time I watched it, the visual construction and the depth of the dialogue prevented me from enjoying the nuance of the comedy as it played out. In subsequent viewings (including during a final exam back in December of 02), I laughed my ass off at quite a few moments (bodily fluids, war room, etc.)

I like it, it's not my favorite Kubrick film, but it's good.
Hey, maybe my screen name should be Dr. Strothlove!Ha ha!
Well, I thought it was funny.
No I didn't.
Still, Dr. Strangelove is a good movie.
