It's been over a day and I'm just now getting to the point I can post again. To say this hurt is an understatement. It hurt like hell.
It's hard to understand why things happen. I would *think* that by now I would be used to this. Merle. Tenta. Deus. Now Dino. We've lost so much just in four brief lifespans.
But what we gained was so much more, I think. Dinobot, just like Merle, John and Deus, gave so much to the site and board, and meant even more. He, and they, gave us their time and their friendship, and that means more to me than anything in the world.
Dinobot was a rarity here. I never heard a cross word about him in all of the years he spent here. He was just well-liked, plain and simple.
I consider those we bring on board as moderators as a family within a family, and I feel doubly at a loss for his not being here. I've lost a trusted friend and a good man. We all lost a valued poster and a spark of light in a sea of insanity.
I send all of my thoughts and my love to his family. I know this is a hard and trying time for them, especially during this time of year, but I can only thank them for sharing him with us for the short time he was with us.
Goodbye, Dinobot, and godspeed my friend.

Well said, Madison, I think you summed up everyone's thoughts in your post. The phrase "those are the best ones who leave first" is once again sadly confirmed.
I still can't believe this is actually happening. I would never have thought I could care that much about people living at thousands of kilometers from me who I have never met in person, but the fact is it does affect me when a fellow Crapper or his family have problems or die.
Dinobot, Deus, please keep watching over us from where you are.

Does anyone know if there is any sort of memorial fund or something? I feel like there should be something. Some way that we can contribute to his memory. Even if it is just a way of helping Dino's family with the costs associated with a funeral or something....

I never exchanged any messages with him, never got to know him personally. But from his posts, he came across as a good, decent, and all round funny guy. His presence will be missed. My deepest sympathies go to his family and friends.

Dino, buddy, we never truly connected but I felt this was worth a quick return. As I sit here smoking a cigarette, I try to think about our past. Our little as there may be. I Always thought of your posts as a quick little laugh but it's not even that that'll I miss about you. Most of all, I feel you were the most level headed of us all and I'm sorry to hear of your passing. I feel truly that You'll always be remembered for your sarcastic humor and for that, every time I think I'm in a slump, I'll think back to our little run in's and remember how I chuckled to your wit. Rest in peace buddy. I'll be keeping you and your's in my thoughts and prayers. ppv.... for what it's worth.

A quick little thought but I don't even know his favorite wrestler, I've been re-reading Mick Foley's first book and felt the need to re-watch some of his classic matches. So, even if Ol' Mick wasn't Dino's favorite, the little marathon I had planned is dedicated to you ol' buddy. May you enjoy the brutality as I do....

I distinctly remember him saying that his favorite was Rick Martel. I don't know why, I know it sounds very silly, but I really liked that about him. I guess maybe it's just that Martel was great and a pretty solid choice for a favorite, but who ever picks him? Dinobot did though. He was such a nice, funny guy. This really sucks.
