Motown.
No matter HOW crappy the city can become, they still gave birth to Motown, thus making them great.
My ex girlfriend's father and step-mother lived up there. Weird people, which seemed to be the norm in that area. Not a big fan (being from Cleveland, and all), and GLAD the Tigers came in dead last in the AL Central.
But still... Motown...

DETROIT = Just pretend its in Canada No no, you're missing the point, we're looking to insult Detroit, not make it better.

Detroit: America's smfisawesome. Worst thing ever.
Okay, while smfisawesome is one of the worst person/place/things ever, Detroit is not. It just needs some TLC. It can be fixed, my friends, but it's gonna take a while.

It's really a disgusting city. Dirty, run down, ugly residents, terrible weather. It's like an above ground sewer. It's population continues to plummet as people just don't wanna live in such a trashy dump.

So how long until Robocop becomes a reality?
Or perhaps Carpenter needs to come out with a 3rd Plisken Movie: Escape from Detroit.
