I can actually see the Jets doing that - if they were told either the Dolphins or the Pats were to make the playoffs, they'd take the Dolphins every time. Especially with the strained relationship between Belichick and Mangini and with the whole "Spygate" controversy last year (btw can we stop adding the "gate" suffix to every controversy or scandal. Watergate is the one and only scandal that warrrants this)

So, this Sunday the NFL's top-ranked defense will be facing a 4th-string quarterback who has never started an NFL game, whose offense has failed to score a TD in five straight games, and was most recently shut out by the Bengals.
I'm predicting at least a 30-point spread.

If the Packers lose to the Lions next week, they should be forced to give up all of their Lombardi Trophys and be demoted to the XFL.

Well....I guess I have to mention this right now, despite the fact that the Lions suck.
Rob Parker.....Dallas columnist.....I dont care if you thought it was meant as a joke or not.....you made a huge foul when you mentioned Rob Marinelli's daughter and the Lions defensive coordinator (the two are married). Marinelli has every right to tell you where you can take the apology.
If that were me, I dont care who you were, Parker....your ass would have been grass right there.

Rob Parker.....Dallas columnist..... Rob Parker is a Detroit columnist. As for Witten, at the very least, he'll try to play. They might be better off with Bennett, though, depending on how much the ankle injury effects Jason.

The Lions have signed OL Junius Coston, claimed Chris Hannon off waivers from the Dolphins, and placed G Edwin Mulitalo (ankle) on season-ending injured reserve and LB Jordon Dizon (hamstring) on season-ending injured reserve.

Eh, snork it. At least this sets up the Vikes to not make the playoffs. Hey, at least I didn't bring up ... I know, that was mean of me. I take it back.

Thank god the one position we can't defend on defense won't be a factor.
This will be a tight game as the Cowboys should go into the game with the never before seen 10-person secondary defense to combat the Eagles offense.

Speaking of that Cardinals/Vikings game Just hearing those guys from the radio brings a smirk to my face. I think the guy who screams out "NO!" is Paul Allen, but I could be mistaken.

yeah...I'll be at the dome again this Sunday and I'm expecting a loss and a chicago win...only because it wouldn't be the Vikings if we didn't choke at the end.
I'm really getting sick of this.

yeah...I'll be at the dome again this Sunday and I'm expecting a loss and a chicago win...only because it wouldn't be the Vikings if we didn't choke at the end. I'm really getting sick of this. Eh, it's what we deal with as fans. I started watching The Pack back in the late 70's, and sat through many a dismal season until 1990 or so. So I can take a set back or two. Cheer up though. If the Vikings don't make the playoffs, you won't get your hopes up and have to live through a thrashing like that 41-0 pounding The Giants doled out in the NFC Championship game. And the only Viking fans that I really rub it in with are people who dissed me and my team during the season. The year that drubbing went down, a Viking fan I worked with did nothing but talk trash for the entire season, and when they got beat he told me that I could give him excretory matter about it for a week, that was it. I came back with "Really? This coming from the guy who went to Green Bay for the Super Bowl with Denver, bought a Denver jersey even though he wasn't a fan, and whooped and hollered for weeks afterwards like the Vikes had beat them? Oh no .. this is something that is going to be savored for months ..." He really got mad when I had a hat made that had 41-0 on it and wore it to work every day for weeks ... ;D And it's highly unlikely that Chicago will beat Houston at Houston, since the Bears do kind of suck.
