It would be pointless for him to just go one and done with the Jets.

The only thing that sucks is that if The Jets don't win the East, we get a lower compensatory pick for him.

The guy went to college, and he can't figure out that maybe, just maybe, after shooting himself in the leg in a nightclub incident with an illegal firearm, maybe he should stash his guns somewhere other than his house? Guess that schooling he paid for at Michigan State really paid off ... ;D

The Jets may or may not be looking for his replacement.

By the time Plax gets out of jail he'll be too old to play football.
He's spending 7 years just for his shooting himself. These weapons and ammo can give him another 7 to 10.5 years, so he's looking at 14 to 17.5 years, meaning he'll either be 45 or 48.5 before he is released. Either way, he'll be too old to do anything of value.

Those additional weapons are only a problem if they aren't registered. Of course something tells me the guy is too much of an idiot to get the proper paperwork.
His big problem is that Bloomberg is heavily in favor of gun control. This is a high profile case and a chance for him to really get a message across. This will be one instance where an athlete doesn't get off with just a slap on the wrist.

This is the same fool who, despite making millions of dollars, didn't have something as simple as car insurance.
