I wish that the stupid shoebox reviewing with him would pick up a comic book ("I didn't get a chance to hear Venom's name!" ) and do some research:

Well, I mean, they never do say Venom's name in the movie. They shouldn't have just assumed that everyone knows who he is.

My favorite part of the review is the fact they act like it was a big smurf you to anyone who didn't already know what was gonna happen, and then they spoil a gigantic part of the story by saying Spiderman befriends New Goblin.
And I don't get their Sandman hate...I honestly thought he was the best villian in this movie. New Goblin was okay at best, but Harry's character is starting to become a skipping record, the same stuff every time. And Venom was a joke. If they are setting him up for the next movie, they really should have ended it there or developed it much sooner in the movie to give that fight more meaning and not have it seem as tacked on as it was.

The problem with Venom was that Sam Raimi, the director hates the character. He planned "Spider-Man 3" to have Vulture as the other villain. But Avi Arad, who's Marvel's liaison to Hollywood, persuaded Raimi to include Venom, because that's "what the fan boys wanted".
