What games did you hate that the critics loved?
For example: I've been on an RPG kick recently. I gave The World Ends with You a shot and wow this game stinks. Just a lame story and I hated the main character. I think they were trying to make this the videogame equivalent of "Catcher in the Rye" which i also didn't like and feel is overrated.
I have a theory that the critics who loved this game are perverts who also love hentai tentacle porn. Just saying...
I also can't stand the Metal Gear Solid series. I want to play a game, not watch a movie.

I cant stand any of the Final Fantasy games or the new RPG style Zelda games... I forgot to mention that I'm not a fan of the 3d Zelda games. I always get lost and confused.

Metal Gear series for me. Never got the appeal of it. These. Also, the last few GTA games. They all felt the same, IMO (haven't played 4 yet).

I've never understood the appeal of ANYTHING Katamari. My Japanophile friends all love it, but I just can't wrap my head around paying 50 bucks for a game where you roll a ball around.

I thought that they (well at least the original) were released at a budget price? I seem to remember the original coming out for 20 smackeroos which I assume gave the game a few extra points in the scores that everyone gave.

Spanky they were never $50. The PS2 ones were like $20 bucks, and the 360 one was like... $30-$40 tops (can't remember exactly right now).

The GTA Series.
The last one I really enjoyed was GTA 3. I don't really get all the love the ones after that recieved.

I've played the PS2 GTA games. I never even bothered to complete a mission but I did enjoy maybe using cheat codes and just doing the dumbest stuff. I think in either Vice City or San Andreas I would grab a motorcycle and just try to do mad stunts. For me it was just a fun way to kill some time.

Anything Tom Clancy related. I have yet to enjoy a single game with his name attached to it.
Banjo-Kazooie series as well. Just...really dull platformers as far as I'm concerned. Mario 64 did everything they did better, and first. Just my opinion though.

The Katamari games on the PS2 were $30 at release, and they are VERY fun.
As for the main topic, not really.
