Because of course, the ONLY reason why people like the Tomb Raider games is because of Lara's boobs. Now THAT is a mature reasoning, just like the way you insult the fans of the series despite not knowing them. In fairness, I do think think if the protagonist was a male Indiana Jones type character, it wouldn't have been this big franchise that spawned movies, has lasted longer than a decade etc, so I do think the 'sex appeal' ( wow that feels odd to type) of that character was part of what garnered a larger fanbase- for good or ill Hey, Pitfall made a small fortune with that idea. No boobs required.

Star Fox. I'm sure it's a good game and all, and I like the characters (in elementary, my friends and I used to climb under a picnic table at recess and pretend it was our ship), but I'm just not into flight sims... so you can count pretty much every other flight sim in with that. I don't care for flying ships in Halo 2, although the new ones in 3 were sorta fun and I hated the plane missions in SA to the point I was about to break a controller just trying to pass the stupid school. (Luckily, I remembered one of my gaming secrets... give up, go to sleep and beat it half awake. )

The only Star Fox character I hate is Slippy, cause he sucks and you can't go more than 2 minutes without him going "HELP! I need help, Fox!"
That is one reason why Star Fox Adventures is my favorite Star Fox game. Yes I know it is Legend of Zelda in Fox clothing, but:
1) You don't constantly need to save Slippy 2) It gave us Krystal.

My favourite SF game is still 64.
Adventures was cool though. I'm not really big on Krystal, but the game itself was pretty fun.

So yes, it worked with male characters too. In fact, what was special about the Tomb raider games is that for the first time, it was a female character who got as successful as male characters in a role usually portrayed by male characters.

FirePro. If i want a strategy-based wrestling game i'll play no mercy, and at least its easier to pin someone in that game. Also, i dont know how the critics liked it, but art of fighting is impossibly hard. In Fire Pro's defense, it is mainly based on Japanese wrestling where its not totally unusual for guys to survive multiple finishers and kick out several times in one match. No Mercy is probably the greatest wrestling game ever, but Fire Pro has some advantages over it. AI is one. No Mercy in a single match can range from easy, to "F*** this I'm not selling a single thing you do anymore, I'm going to win, I'm going to tag my partner whenever the hell I want, I'm going to reverse all your grapples and all your strikes will mean nothing because I'm going to stick out my titties at you like a queen and nothing you do can hurt me"

GTAIV is a good game in my opinion, but it didn't help that it had the most ridicilous hype over it since Halo 3. They're both good games but not 'TEH BEST GAME EVAR! This will change everything!'. LISTEN UP, SNORK-O*, IT IS THE GREATAST GAME EVER! hehehe, JK! I don't really believe that for sure, just saying, to me, SAN ANDREAS is, so, going off that, I'm hoping GTAIV is as, or if not better, than that * - That's an awesome filter!

Go to a corner, push your controller toward it and start taunting. As soon as you're done, do it again... and again... and again until your special bars maxed. Run/roll away from them and do you special taunt. If you do it early in a match, they almost always let you have the hard grapple (if you time it fairly well), as they expect to reverse it. Then you can lay 'em out with two or three finishers. I did that to HHH/X-Pac in the handicapped matches A LOT. Also against The Rock in the steel cage. Although for that (and ladder matches), I'd go for submissions until they were purple-d. Also, I'd tree of woe them a lot as I thought it was a cool finish.

To be more specific it was the first time we all knew it was a female from the get go. Samus Aran from the Metroid series proved girls could hang with the big boys back on the NES, but we didn't know she was a chick until the end.

I was also pretty disappointed by GTA IV. Though I loved the story, and the no happy ending available thing was cool, The missions were frustrating. Each one was "Hey Niko, go chase somebody and kill them." or "Hey Niko, go kill somebody and chase somebody." And I know they were going for gritty realism, but it lacked the fun of other GTA games. I, for one, actually enjoy doing things like chasing a terrible rapper on a go-kart and hovercraft.

I got pretty far by using dhalsim's "stretching" kicks and punches.
