So, I was looking over old comics, and I hit the 2000-ish era. Namely, Revolution, or the Six Month Gap. And it just got me thinking: Man, this was an AWESOME time!
Seriously, you had one team (Uncanny) of Storm, Beast, Phoenix, CABLE, and the team leader GAMBIT.
Then, on the other end (Adjectiveless), you had Rogue, Shadowcat, Colossus, Psylocke, Nightcrawler, Archangel, and Wolverine. And the Indian Thunderbird, but that guy sucked, so let's just ignore him. Because he sucked.
Of course, then the movies had to come along and ruin these awesome lineups, because they had to make everything more movie-ish & s***. Still, it got me thinking: You know what? That Uncanny team seems more like something a fan would make up than an actual team. So, WrestleCrap, let's just throw together a team and see how it sounds! Here's mine to start things off:
Team Leader: Gambit (Hey, it was working with Claremont running things, so why the f*** not?)
Warpath (Every team needs a Wolverine-type role filled, and I've always liked the dude.)
Bishop (Always thought Gambit & Bishop worked well together, so yea.)
Psylocke (Every team also needs a psychic. Plus, there's plenty of other important logical...f*** it, she's hot. There, I said it.)
Deadpool (New team certainly needs some shock value, and I think this would definitely sell some tickets. Er, comics.)
If this goes well, I may start more for other teams (Avengers, FF, Thunderbolts, etc...), so get to work, people.

Cyclops - he's the heart and soul of the X-Men, no matter what anyone else says Phoenix/Jean Grey - Still the best love interest Iceman - the single most powerful Mutant on the planet (Phoenix having alien powers, not just mutant ones) Colossus - always was my favorite Wolverine - old school Wolverine, not the new dark and brooding one.. the smash and grab type Emma Frost - secondary love interest, great conflict internally with the team, etc... also hot as all hell Mystique - just because I have fantasies of EVERY WOMEN EVER and she can do it

Cyclops Jean Grey Storm Wolverine Rogue Gambit Beast Colossus Nightcrawler Iceman Archangel Psyclocke
So basically I want the early 90's team minus Bishop and Jubilee. I'd replace them with Cannonball and raise one Weapon X with another, Maverick.
