Joe Buck has to be one of the biggest, most smug douches in sports media. The fact that this guy is FOX's main play-by-play man is a testament of how nepotism and great politicking can go a long way. You can tell whenever you watch a baseball telecast, that he doesn't have the passion and enthusiasm to be there. And then there's of course, his underwhelming handling of David Tyree's epic catch at Super Bowl XLII.
I would like to add Danyelle Sargent on FOX asking newly appointed San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Singletary about getting advice from his "mentor" Bill Walsh before taking the job. Of course, Miss Sargent was oblivious to the fact that Bill Walsh passed away several years back.

Is Jemele Hill still suspended? If she is, then ESPN needs to get rid of that untalented and classless putz.

ESPN/ABC hired him to do some of the matches because I guess he has "credibility"

Very sad how sports controls this country, it's enjoyable until it escalates to absurdity

After a good start I have to nominate the entire show of First Take. Crawford and Jacobsen try way to hard to have that nice host chemistry, too much Jemele Hill, Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless. It has quickly become the show made by old people trying to give the kids the "hip new style'' they want.

The same bitch that gave us bros before hos in the sports sense and the infamous snitching rant she went on about Eric Mangini, and she gets to host a TV program? People like her, Skip Bayless and Mark May make me stop watching ESPN save for Around the HOrn and Pardon the Interruption.

To me, they're the Fox News and/or MTV or sportscasting. Stuart Scott is another example why I hate watching ESPN now. I consider him to be sort of the poster child of ESPN's dissension into a loud, bubblegum, wannabe hipster corporate extension of Disney crap (along with Hannah Montana and "High School Musical"). Al Michaels was right when he said that a lot of the crap that ESPN airs today is essentially "gasbags on parade".

I loathe Joe Buck. When he calls Eagles games, I usually mute it. I dunno if it's the fact that he's that up Aikman's ass or what, but he always seems to be talking about the other team. When Eagles are on D, it's the other team's O. When Eagles are on O, it's the other team's D.

What was Holtz saying to Davis at the podium? I couldn't understand him.
And while I'm at it. what's your opinion on Lee Corso?

Steven A Smith is really bad. It's like he's trying to prove to everybody how black he is instead of giving an informed opinion.
Skip Bayless is like that crazy uncle who goes off on commies and pinkos in the White House at Thanksgiving dinner. It's funny until you realize he's serious.

I can't stand Joe Buck, and, by all accounts, he can't stand most New York teams. Good for you, Joey boy.
That said, I've said it before; if I die and wind up in hell, it will be being stuck watching an endless loop of ballgames only announced by either Buck and McCarver, or Jon Miller and Joe Morgan.

How about the worst of sports media finally getting fired? 2008 was a great year just for the fact Jay Mariotti got fired from the Chicago Sun-Times!

Especially for their summer-long special, "Summer Of Favre: America Held Hostage". I'm looking forward to "Summer Of Favre 2: Electric Boogaloo" as much as I'm looking forward to the inevitable Limp Bizkit return.
