Soooooo . . . it's just like Seven, but it just took longer to get to the "this gimmick sucks" moment, making Mark Calloway look about 16,000 times dumber than Dustin Rhodes. Not a great idea to have him bash his entire career, and by proxy all the fans that got into it.

I thought this was going to be something similar to the concept that was posted on Kane retiring Flair, taking his gear, burning it in a trash can and giving him a suit.
Except it would be Kane retiring Undertaker, taking his gear, burning it in a trash can, and giving him a walker, a soiled housecoat, a bottle of Cabinstill, and keys to a condo in Del Boca Vista near Morty Seinfeld.

Never Break The Streak! Why? No one is worthy. Last thing I want is for someone to break the streak and turn their back on wrestling. Brock Lesnar was put over huge and where is he at now. I'm afraid that whoever breaks the streak would be unappreciative of it. When Taker retires, let him be the only one to have never lost at WM.

I have a really good idea for how Taker should go out ... but after seeing how brutal everybody is I think I'll just keep it to myself.
Oh yeah, and this idea sucks.

I would love to see an HBK/ Undertaker match at WM 25 and I would like to see HBK play the heel but I have another idea. First of all it is announced that the Undertaker and Micheals will have a coin toss to determine the special referee, Undertaker wins the toss, but doesn't immediately announce his referee. Undertaker "shoots" on Smackdown later that week about Micheals and how they have been in the WWE almost the same amount of time and about how both have been the top names in wrestling for a long time, but then the Undertaker talks about how he has never liked him and the only reason he has been so sucessful is because he has rubbed Vince the right way and that despite his character he is truely a bad person. He goes on about how Micheals tried to sabotage Steve Austin and many other wrestlers to protect his top spot in the company. Then he says, " Just ask this man." "The Hitman" Bret Hart comes out to the ring. When Bret gets in the ring, Undertaker announces that Bret will be the special referee for his match with Shawn Micheals at Wrestlemania.

That's my idea:
Taker feuds with _____, he goes through the same old crap we've seen a thousand times, complete with Mind Games, lightning, lights going out at random, empty caskets, mirrors, blood and voices.
The Opponent says he's not scared blah blah blah.
Taker wins at the end of an even match, celebrates and rides into the Sunset.
Throw in a farewell speech on RAW the night after that, so Undertaker/Mark Calloway can say goodbye outside kayfabe too, and we all are happy

You know, Undertaker showing up in street clothes to complain about his angles, sort of, HAS happened before, much as the OP suggested. It was during the Ministry/Corporate Ministry era. What happened was, he came out saying he's always been there, and has taken out every "monster" of the week, and he deserved a title shot for essentially doing what was asked of him, without fail, for years.
So, that part, I really don't take issue with.
I just don't like the idea of Shawn getting the streak, I don't want it to end in cheating, and I don't want to get MMA with it. It's not a TERRIBLE idea, I just think it'd be better suited happening with a different event, with different wrestlers, and handled differently. Just needs work.

I'd change the storyline slightly and I think it'd work.
Taker comes out crying while wearing a diaper, hes fighting HBK. Taker gets on the mic and through hus tears says "I did a dookie in my diaper" and walks off and if never seen again.

SuperduperREjected. No to worked shoots, especially in the context of Taker/HBK - there is breaking kayfabe, and then there is smashing it stupidly, like a bunch of kids smashing up their toys - Vince, HBK and Taker might as well wearing t-shirts with "worked shoot" on them, and winking at the audience - the smarts would hate it, and the marks would be rightly confused - marketing towards smarks on this kind of level doesn't work.

That's not cool... here's my spin on things: ... It was all... a dream... that Gillberg was having! In bed! With a grown-up Mae Young/Mark Henry hand! SWOIVE!

Naturally, Taker has to die. Or fake his death.
Then when they show his gravestone, Undertaker comes out in a red spandex devil costume with maracas and starts singing "I am evil Taker!"

I just really don't see Taker going for it. You have someone who seems as though he's been real protective of the business, for his last match to totally try to expose it...just doesn't jive for me.

the problem with that, and all worked shoot angles, is that the marky fans don't get it, so the effect is lost on them, whereas for the other fans this angle craps on the rest of the show. take the "mma fight" to blow off the feud. what makes an MMA fight different? you can't say "this is a real fight" on air, since that's baiscally saying "everything else you see tonight is bollocks", so you've just got a regular match, but it's a shoot so it'll be less dramatic and more dangerous, with no one getting more over from it.
it reminds me of the dying days of WCW where after worked shoot number 384979827 you'd have the announcers yell "this isn't in the script, folks!", which ruins the rest of the show. you don't have the actors in a movie stop halfway through and go "okay, the rest of what you've seen in this film was false, but this scene is better since the actors don't really like one another", because the illusion is broken.

It's not a good idea, but if it were someone with more posts the criticism would be more constructive, rather than just endless Russo and Tomko jokes. Not really. I'm sure if I were to say something like that, I'd fully expect Russo/Tomko jokes aplenty. I didn't see anyone once bring up his post count.

Agreed. Plus, all shoot crap does is cater to a select few, while making the performers pissed at one another, ruining furthur chemistry.
