But he gave us so much to laugh at. And he got rich off of bad art. The same way Michael Turner did, and the next generation of fans will make fun of his poor work, all the while claiming the artist who draws poorly that they like is wonderful until the next gen of fans replaces them and points out how terrible he was and how much better their artist that draws terribly is. There's a tremendous cycle of artists ignoring the human figure and selling gangbusters only to be shunned when the next hot thing comes out, and usually the next big things is inspired by the now terrible artist. Michael Turner (RIP ) drew incredibly hot women, so even if they weren't totally in proportion, he gets a pass from me. Meanwhile, I always thought Liefeld was pretty bad, even as a kid. I do respect him for a number of things he did in the comic industry, though, like co-founding Image.

Wasn't this the decade that gave us wrestling comics? Like, Warrior, Chyna, Rena and Nash?
In any case, the anwser is probably Spawn. Or Symbionts.
