I just read that it ended the holiday weekend at 9th place at the boxoffice. Taking in 10 million bucks.

Wow, Never would have thought that it would bomb that big. It's still waiting to get my 7 bucks though.

Teh Boobz is out there somewhere, very much pleased.
I will simply add a smirk and reiterate that I should have been brought on as a consultant.

a trip over to BoxOfficeMojo verifies that.
And it only got $6 mil this weekend. The other $4 mil was from the week(it was released on Thursday).

That's too bad. Who wanted to see a movie during the holidays?

That's too bad. Who wanted to see a movie during the holidays? Actually the weekend after Christmas is traditionally one of the industry's best. The pressure is off, and people are looking for a good leisure activity. And The Spirit does suck, btw.

We talked about going to see this on the phone the other night. I was just trying to get him to give it a chance, you know...see "how bad it really is" and whatnot. He flat out refused, and stated that he would come to Roseburg and watch this, if I would drive to Corvallis and see THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STUPID STILL. I had to admit, he had me on that one. No way am I going to sit through two hours of Keanu Reeves and Will Smith's annoying-ass kid. Anyway, maybe this will finally kill off Frank Miller's Hollywood career, outside of SIN CITY, which, apparently, is the only thing he's good at. I'm with Boobz on one thing: Eisner's SPIRIT should be left to someone who understands the material.

It would of done better if they made it look like Dick Tracy.

I think Robert Rodriguez was really faithful to the comic that he felt he had to give Miller directing credit. So how do I explain this. Well I will say Frank Miller directed Sin City in 1991 when he first made the comic. Does that make sense? Or in another way Miller was more of a consultant then a director.

I don't believe Miller directed actors on the Sin City set. He'd only have himself to blame, he wrote the screenplay too.

I want to get trashed and then go see this. Seems like a perfect inebriated theater experience.
