Lots of good stuff in there. I disagree with Jungle being #1 (in terms of influence and content, I think Whole Lotta Love blows it away), but once you're inside the top ten, you'll never please everyone.
I gotta say, Bon Frickin' Jovi ranking higher with Livin' On a Prayer than Crazy Train pissed me off royally.

I saw the first three episodes but the Twilight Zone marathon won out over the last two. I'm happy they included "Liar". Rollins is underrated.

i dont even consider bon jovi as hard rock. they are great but wtf? Personally I think there was too much hair metal included. Autograph? Winger? Twisted Sister, yes. Dokken, not so much.

My thoughts on the list:
Its heavy on the 70s and 80's because thats when "hard rock" was at its peak. They threw in some late 60's and 90's stuff to help balance it out. Not much at all from the 2000's except for Evanescence and Andrew W K lol probably just thrown in there because they needed something from the past decade. 90's were pretty weak for hard rock but they managed to find some rockin stuff from "alternative bands." I wish they limited it to one song per artist though.

All in all a good list. I disagree with some of the hair metal stuff, Europe,Autograph,Warrent. Most of the rest I like.

yeah, def too much hair metal Well for years VH1 and the rest of the media have been telling us how much hair metal sucked ass and now they are telling us that it was good. I guess enough time has passed for them to acknowledge its rightful place in history. The 90's are long over so I guess its ok now not to be bashing it.

Sure, hair metal is an important part of music history but it doesn't change that an overwhelming majority of it was garbage. In 2018 will we be saying the same about nu metal? "Limp Bizkit gets a lot of crap for being a nu metal band, but if you can get past the embarrassing videos, the shoddy music, and Fred Durst acting like the biggest douchebag in the world, that band kicked ass!"

I can deal with the hair bands because at the time I guess that was hard rock (note:not metal but not rock n roll either). But contemporary bands like the Darkness and White Stripes? I dont think many people think of them as hard rock.

Rainbow had AT LEAST a dozen of songs better and more relevant than Since You've Been Gone (and it was a cover anyway...)
Whitesnake had AT LEAST a dozen of songs better than the horrible Still of the Night
The most famour riff of hard rock being 11 is a travesty.
The presence of Evanescence, Marilyn Manson, Ramones, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Nirvana is hard to justify, other than for "let's throw in some recognizable names for non-fans"
Motorhead? Metallica? AC/DC? Iron Maiden? Are you smurfing kidding me? Why not Darkthrone or Dimmu Borgir?
Hard Rock kinda ended with the NWOBM....
I can kinda accept the presence of many AOR 80s bands, but having thrash metal, nu-metal, grunge and even quasi-punk-rock is just horrible.
I know that'll sound like the usual elitist nitpicking, but a lot of bands/songs have no business being near an Hard Rock List
