I'm trying to find that as we speak. I've never even seen it before. I looked for it too and I have no clue what it is. I'm guessing it's off "Nice". Ah, found it!: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPdom67NQEA

98) Buckcherry - Lit up 95) Creed - Higher BULLexcretory matter Those came out in 1999 I think so I'm guessing the main reason they are there is because they needed some more late 90's/early 00's representation since that period for hard rock is pretty weak.

Right on. I like how Henry Rollins can do a video like this where he comes off as a punk Huey Lewis but you still don't want to screw with him.

Thanks for listing the list, so I didn't have to sit through the whole thing to find out what #1 is/was.

It's impossible to ever do a list like this and have it be truly relevant. For one, the list is inherently flawed due to it being based solely on opinion. But beyond that, the types of music are also subject to opinion. What is "hard rock?" What is "metal?" What bands/songs cross over into both? Some people might say certain bands are both; others will say they're neither.

Oh, c'mon...Creed, I don't care about, but they were pretty good on their first two albums if you could get past their religious overtones. Buckcherry was absolutely wicked on Lit Up.

I'm gonna throw out some love for Nu Metal. Someone has to.
Seriously, as someone who really grew up with Nu Metal, I can appreciate it, and still listen to it today. I love all sorts of music, so don't jump on me for being tasteless.
That being said, this sould be the 100 Most Popular songs in Hard Rock. There are some great songs that would never be on this list. For one, Korn. Freak on a Leash is one of the worst Korn songs. Faggot, one of my favorite Korn songs, is way better written but would never be on that list because of the name and content.

I don't know how Creed got labeled as a religious band, but they were not religious. As a religious person myself,I can never for the life of me figure out why people labeled them as such. Any band that uses the GD word constantly in one of their songs(can't remember which one) is not a religious band.

Their songs are about Scott Stapp's upbringing in a religious family, his going to a Catholic school, and his questions about all of it.

That was an okay list. They probably shouldn't have diversify it so much, because some bands should had dominated that list. I enjoyed the Artists of Hard Rock list much more than this one.

I saw the first three episodes but the Twilight Zone marathon won out over the last two. I'm happy they included "Liar". Rollins is underrated. I love the opening of the song when Rollins is introducing himself and try to make the listener feel easy, almost seducing you (not that there's anything wrong with that) before he gets into the screaming in the chorus (which most people seem to like more) Also the video was great when shown on Beavis and Butthead with Beavis spazzing out during the chorus.

the thing i liked the least was the "what happened to them" narrator, they got dokken's and poison's wrong, and van halen's each time they were on. separate ways is a harder journey song, 18 and life for skid row is one of the ballads....instead of one of the harder songs, although live sebastian makes it great, ratt has other songs than round and round, kiss has better songs than rock n roll all night, for "running with the devil" the clip they used was the us festival, showing that they have the concert, SO PLAY THE THING instead of all the reality shows. I like that they used "I wanna rock" over the over played "we're not gonna take it". But I'm harder on these kinds of shows anyway because they're in my area of "at least they're judgable" cause as soon as this show ended for the night, in came 40 reality shows after it.
