I've noticed a trend on this forum that a lot of you guys think no one ever has the right t hit another person. Seems to be a strongly held belief by quite a few of you.
In light of the Aries incident I would like to say that in my opinion sometimes a guy needs to get punched in the face.
not deserves to be punched. not should be punched.
NEEDS to be punched in the face.
Maybe its my upbringing, maybe its just that I'm an asshole but I am strongly of the opinion that when some people get out of hand they need to be corrected with a punch to the face.
People get out of line these days and no one wants to be confrontational, we all just sit back and bandy about the 1st amendment like it means something it doesn't. You CAN'T say whatever you want, you CAN'T verbally attack someone and not expect repercussions that's not how that WORKS.
You may say violence doesn't solve anything but YEA, sometimes it does and swiftly I might add. I think the world would be a much better and FAR less annoying place if people walked around secure in the knowledge that if they get out of line someone MIGHT just pop them in the face.
I've only ever had to be on ONE fight my entire life and that was in middle school, USUALLY I get by with strong language, not just expletives mind you just strong language. So its not like I'm brawling my way around the world Crowe style.

If everyone agreed with you, I'd get punched in the face at least ten times a day.

Some people DO need it. But then again, what would Jesus do? "Let he who is without sin throw the first punch." At the end of the day, there's a time when all of us deserve to get punched in the face.
But, I'm not Jesus and I think like this: if we started using our fists to punish people for being ignorant, stupid, running their mouths, or disrespecting you or others then maybe we wouldn't have it done as much. Just a thought, like when someone finally gives the big bully his and then the problems stop. (See Styles, Joey and L, JB.)
Therefore, I welcome any of you to punch me in the face if the situation calls for it - provided you can prove my douchebaggery in question.

In some instances I think violence is okay. Usually only in self defense though. But if someone robs you or kills someone you know I think it is okay.

The only person that ever NEEDS to be punched in the face is the moron that decided Fighting was the only way out of the simple social situation that they were incapable of dealing with without resorting to Cave-Man levels of logic to prove they were somehow right.
Violence is best used when it's main goal is to stop Violence. It's kinda ironic, isn't it?

Whenever I get into a physical altercation these days I do everything I can to control the other person without throwing punches. I tend to use a lot of double leg take downs now though.

Well, for me violence isn't included in my list of actions used in dealing with people, but it doesn't mean that I won't defend myself when it's needed. In any case, when I need to punch someone, I won't regret it and I won't make excuses for it. It's an extreme contradiction to my pacifist way on things and that's all there is.
These days, though, I prefer to trip them using my cane. Because I'm still a heel deep down inside.
Yay me.

Whenever I get into a physical altercation these days I do everything I can to control the other person without throwing punches. I tend to use a lot of double leg take downs now though. My favorite thing to do back in college was to get the guy trying to start a fight to throw a punch while I'm holding a Beer bottle/mug. I have fast reflexes with my hands and I'd get them to punch the glass. Nothing stops a fight faster than shredded and/or broken hands. (I was a bouncer in College, and twice I got that to work. Grab a mug and walk over to the altercation, more times than not, the moron wants to fight you too. Luckily, Stupid Drunk vs Sober Guy that used to this Crap is an easy fight to win.) Otherwise a good old headlock and an escort to the door works wonders. I was never good enough with my feet to do the leg takedowns, although I've seen them done to perfection. Good times.

I actually think it's needed sometimes. I'm not talking about pasting the crap out of someone, but a smack in the face can work wonders. When I was 18 I was a lairy little sod and would mouth off at some people. One day I mouthed off at the wrong person and he twatted me. It taught me a lesson and changed quite a few things.

It's one of those things that can have a positive impact... (lol) But maybe it's just because my experience is so skewed because of my time as a bouncer, but most people that started the punches were nothing short of morons that would throw a punch because they thought that somehow made their point of view correct.

It's easy to resort to violence. I know. I used to be an incredibly violent person. And with combat training fights tend to go my way. The challenge is trying to NOT resort to violence. Now, with that said, sometime you gotta beat the living hell outta some people.

Punching in self-defence, sure. But punching other people without physical provocation? There's just no point. You might teach them a lesson, sure. You might also go to jail. The law and justice are different things, and unfortunately the law's the one you gotta stick to, for the most part.

Well, I'm of this belief... If everyone starts taking an eye for an eye, then pretty soon the whole world will be blind.

I hate the law. This guy at worked ripped me apart verbally the other day and would not listen to reason for me to get my point across. I know one swing I could've dropped his ass and that's all I could think about doing (this is a few days later and I'm still thinking about it). Know if I do it I'm looking at possible assault charges and possible termination though. Sucks when you gotta play the legal and corporate game over crap like that because sometimes people need to be taught a lesson.

I wont lie. I stopped my viloent ways once I finished high school. I do believe that some people do deserve a punch in the face sometimes But thefact is it's just not that simple anymore. Now when I hit someone I have to wonder "Does this guy have a weapon?" "will his friends jump in?" "will he sue?" "Is he the type of loser that will try to find out where I live and disturb my family?"
You see, now that I'm an adult I understand it's not worth all that trouble just because some guy cut me off in traffic or god forbid he said something rude. Kids get upset over stuff like that. It takes a stronger person to let it go.

Well, I'm of this belief... If everyone starts taking an eye for an eye, then pretty soon the whole world will be blind. There are people in this world who go about demanding to be killed. You must have noticed them. They quarrel in gambling games. They jump out of their automobiles in a rage. They humiliate and bully people whose capabilities they do not know. These are people who wander through the world shouting, "kill me". And there's always someone ready to oblige to them.Always preferred this quote. Once again I'll say I've never HAD to strike anyone in my adult life, but I recognize that once in a while someone will present themselves to you BEGGING to be smacked in the gourd. Like I said I usually get by with words and I've become pretty good at convincing people that its very possible that I will kill them.
