Baylor up, 21-14 at the half. Good luck in the Fiesta Bowl, Oklahoma. Fiesta Bowl is for the Big XII Champ. If OU ends up ranked above Texas in the polls, it'll be Texas going to the Fiesta Bowl baby. Of course.............if Florida beats Alabama we might have OU/Texas as the BCS Championship game.

Boston College returns an interception for a touchdown, making it a 28-14 game with 1:42 to go. With a win, the Eagles will advance to the ACC Championship Game next Saturday against Virginia Tech, with the winner getting a bid in the FedEx Orange Bowl and a date with the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Georgia lost to Georgia Tech?!!? NOOOOOOO!!! Oh well. Tech has played well this year and since they haven't defeated Georgia in 8 years, I guess it was time they won again. As for my Dogs, it looks like a trip to the Capital One Bowl or Outback Bowl is in the future. My guess is to play against Ohio State or Michigan State.

I can't believe Notre Dame is a 34 point underdog. I know they'll lose but that point spread is insane so I put some money on a parlay of them and Oklahoma -10. Go Irish and Sooners!

If I can get 1 TD out of the bums they should cover the spread.

So with Oregon State losing to Oregon, 51-31 with just shy of ten minutes to play, it looks like we'll have two BCS bowl games all but set after tonight:
FEDEX ORANGE BOWL: Cincinnati (Big East champion) vs. Virginia Tech or Boston College (ACC champion)
ROSE BOWL: Southern California (Pac-10 champion) vs. Penn State (Big Ten champion)
The only way USC can find their way into the National Championship Game is if Florida beats Alabama in the SEC Championship, and the Big XII South representative (Texas/Oklahoma/Texas Tech) loses the Big XII Championship to Missouri. If those scenarios happen, USC would probably get in ahead of the Big XII runner-up and play the SEC Champion.
Essentially, the winner of next Saturday's SEC Championship Game will get a berth into the National Championship Game, barring a chaotic f*** up by the BCS computers. Who they play, however, is still up in the air.

I am a huge Dog fan, but their defense was pretty weak for the ladder part of the season. They are kind of lucky they didn't lose more. Edit: There is definitely a 3-way tie in the big 12 south, so we will have to wait and see who is ranked highest to see who will face Missouri. Most likely it will be between Oklahoma and Texas. Texas beat Oklahoma, but since it is not a two-way tie, then that doesn't matter. If Oklahoma is ranked higher than Texas, then they will go to the big game. Personally, I hope Texas is ranked higher since they did win the head-to-head.

OSU kept it competive until about the last six minutes. I think at one point in the fourth quarter they were down by four. Oklahoma scored a lot in the last few minutes in an attempt to earn "style points" (I HATE that phrase).

ESPN is making this out to be a lot more complicated than it really is all for the sake of talking it up. For a network who supports the playoff system, their superiors seem to disagree with the new 5 year deal they made with the BCS last week.
Oklahoma will be in the Big 12 championship. Oklahoma was ranked ahead of Texas in the Harris and USA Today/AP Poll, whatever the hell they use these days. So its only fitting that they get moved up to 2 in the BCS and the right to play Missouri.
Another thing they could do is just move Oklahoma to the Big 12 North. All this talk about controversy, blah blah. How the BCS system sucks, its all moot. Playoffs would be just as bad b/c the same networks would complain about teams being left out of that as well.

My Top 5 after this week:
1) Alabama 2) Oklahoma 3) Texas 4) Florida 5) Utah
It was hard for me to put the Sooners ahead of Texas. But after watching the Okla St. game, I'm putting Oklahoma very very very slightly ahead of the Longhorns. As for why I didn't put USC in the Top 5, the Mountain West was better overall than the Pac 10 this year..and Utah is still undefeated, so there.

Oklahoma scored a lot in the last few minutes in an attempt to earn "style points" (I HATE that phrase). Actually, they were up by 13 and pretty much turned the offense down. It was less than 2 minutes left in the game and all they did was running plays. Their last TD came with 32 seconds left in the game, on a Chris Brown run that had AMAZING blocking. However, I think OU will edge Texas out because the ONLY reason Texas was ranked above OU in the BCS was the computers, and they BARELY were ranked above them. I think OU's 5 ranked opponents games will help them push over Texas. I mean they are already ranked over Texas in the human polls, it was the computer poll, which took the head-to-head into great consideration, that Texas was ranked ahead. Also....DAMN YOU OREGON STATE! I didn't want to see USC in a BCS bowl this year! Why couldn't you win?

Honestly, they should kick Nebraska and Iowa State out of the Big XII, send OU & OSU into the North, and add TCU & 1 other Texas based school....maybe Rice into the South.
