Well now I can't stop imagining Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy sneaking from behind the bench and assaulting Mark Mangino with the chains. Now they just need a Lita to beat up....how about Baylor? No....Baylor is getting pretty good.....I know!!!!! Iowa State!!!!!

How About NO. And Drop the Subject of Merging anything. Now. Why so serious? At least you get to go to the Fiesta Bowl.....unless Mizzou beats OU. But that is nigh impossible. You still get to go to a BCS bowl. Hey... Guess What...All I said was Drop it and No talkie about a Mergie... Thats Simple. And thats all... And Fine I won't be Serious... Then You can not take things Seriously either... Fair Trade off.

I really don't think Missouri is going to win the Big XII. They couldn't even beat Kansas.

OU winning it doesn't feel right to me. I hope the SEC team does what they usually do to the other conferences in the BCS Championship game. Florida in particular is famous for doing that, even when it was Florida that everyone was whining about getting to go to the game to begin with.

USC and Texas have a chance in the national title game IF:
1. Florida loses. 2. OU loses.

USC and Texas have a chance in the national title game IF: 1. Florida loses. 2. OU loses. Texas OR USC, but not both. If Alabama wins (as your scenario had it) and Oklahoma lost (pretty slim chance on that one), then I could see Texas or USC playing Alabama, but not each other. No way could a still undefeated SEC team not get to advance to the title game.

It shouldn't be Baylor that they beat up on. It should be Texas A&M. Hey.....things could be worse, Texas Tech could be going to the Championship. But they did beat Texas. I think Oklahoma should go to the Big XII Championship Game. They played a tougher non-conference schedule and are playing the best football out of the 3 right now.

Hey.....things could be worse, Texas Tech could be going to the Championship. And what's that supposed to mean? Well look at it like this, the #7 team in the nation playing in its conference's championship game instead of either of the two other teams from its division with the same records and being #2 and #3 in the nation. Plus, statistically, Tech is the weakest of the 3 teams in the 3-way tie. Lowest point differential of the 3(65, while Texas had 100 and OU had over 118), weakest strength of schedule of the 3(Tech's SoS is the 17th in the nation, while OU's is 1st and Texas' is 5th), and they got crushed by OU by 40 and only beat Texas by 6 by a last second TD. Though.......I would've loved the look on Longhorns' fans if OU lost to OSU, because Tech would be going no matter what. Pretty much Tech pissed away their shot at the Big XII Championship when they failed to show up in Norman. But, they'll be playing in a bowl game against a good opponent, and they'll have another chance next year.

If it wasn't for Cincinnati and TCU, OU's non-conference strength of schedule would be pretty bad....considering their other opponents were Chattanooga and Washington.

Yeah, those 2 teams aren't exactly good. But Oklahoma still has 2 non-conference victories over top 15 teams.

Two points about the incessant BCS bitching that has been going on for the past few hours on both television and this forum:
1. ESPN's crew shouldn't sit there and piss and moan about the BCS and who deserves to play in the Big XII Championship Game and how a playoff would fix all of this, because ESPN just bought the rights to the BCS for the next five years. If they wanted a playoff THAT bad, they wouldn't have just outbid FOX by an absurd amount to acquire the BCS.
2. All of this Oklahoma-Texas whining is really all going to be a moot point when Florida runs roughshod over whomever it is that they play in the BCS National Championship Game.

I remember Georgia couldn't get into the title game last year because they didn't win the SEC Championship. Tennessee won the SEC East and lost to LSU who subsequently leapfrogged Georgia. What happens to Texas if Oklahoma loses to Missouri. Does USC leapfrog Texas because they won their conference?

Scores vs. similar opponents: ARKANSAS (Bama +35, Florida +31) KENTUCKY (Bama +3, Florida +58) GEORGIA (Bama +11, Florida +39) TENNESSEE (Bama +20, Florida +24) LSU (Bama +6, Florida +30) Plus, since losing to Ole Miss, the closest final score Florida has been involved in was when they beat Vanderbilt by 28. Florida is peaking at just the right moment, and the last time Alabama played a ranked opponent, they had to go to overtime to win it.

Alabama just doesn't have the offense to hang with Florida. This is a Bama team that should have lost to LSU. Hell they won, because of Jarrett Lee. Tim Tebow is slightly better. There's just way too much fire power on Florida for Bama to keep up offensively.
