Bat out of hell by Meatloaf has to be one of the greatest rock and roll albums ever produced.

Bat Out of Hell. Every song on that album could (and did) become a single. They are all rock perfection, every song gives you everything you expect out of it, and kicks it up to 11. Peter Pan never rocked so hard.
Bat Out of Hell II is still great, but it has a different quality to it. If Bat Out of Hell is euphoria, with occasional introspection, Bat Out of Hell II is when things are starting to wear off. Meat's voice isn't at the level it used to be, but it's still great. My only gripe with the album is that while Bat Out of Hell knew when to stop, II doesn't. IWDAFL(BIWDT) goes much longer than it needs to, OITRVMMACTTA is really two songs in one.
III doesn't deserve to be a Bat Out of Hell. It feels disjointed, like it doesn't know what it's supposed to be. The Steinman songs clash with all of the others. Meat's voice isn't near II levels, and The Monster's Loose is a poor attempt to make Meat Loaf "relevant" which he never was in the first place. That's part of the fun.

I'll be the one to vote for II. That album defined my Junior High years.

He would do anything for love (but he won't do that) I was a huge mark for that song when it came out. I guess I was too young to know how cheesy it was and the video too.
