So my family got Digital Cable in one room of the house. I learned to use the remote fairly quickly and I was surprised at the very large amount of things to watch in the On Demand menu. The stuff gets real weird and obscure at times. I love it.
There is this one section for dating. Its got all these sub-sections and short 5 to 7 minute videos. I watched a few episodes of Scoring with Dr.Z.
Then I moved around and found a section called Stupidvideos. I thought that was kind of funny.
A movie area called IMPACT was something else as well. Its this small area that has 80s b-movies to watch. I watched this lousy movie called Valet Girls.
Encore and its sister channels come with the package thankfully. I finally can stop watching AMC and have a real movie channel.

When I got digital cable the On Demand section was painfully slow to navigate through and they didnt speed it up till years later.

It's still pretty slow for me, but then I haven't yet upgraded to the DVR box. Keep meaning to call and do that, but I'm moving in a few months so I probably won't bother till then.

DUDE! Same here I just got it today as well. Time Warner Cable. It's great. I have about 300 channels, about 50 or more FREE HD channels and my favorite, the Picture-In-Picture asset. It's awesome so if I'm watching a game or wrestling and it goes to commercials, I can change the station and put that channel in a corner of the TV so I know when it comes back. I love it. It's definately worth 8 more bucks a month ha.

Yeah, we got digital cable when we moved here in '05. It was an insane improvement over our old area, that despite being owned by Comcast and having digital cable lines installed around '00 or so... up til '05 we had yet to even have PPV available.
I love on demand although we don't get a ton of free movies (just international films... TCM, IFC and FMC. Well, and Lifetime Movies, which I never watch). Still, I love on demand. My nephews especially love it as they can watch Thomas, etc. anytime they want.

On Demand is a great service. It's how I got to see most of Hulk Hogan's movies for free while drunk.

I'm loving it though. It's a drastic improvement over the 80 channels I got before to where only 20 channels were watchable.
